I had such a busy weekend I'm exhausted today!   Fri after work we decided to go get our shopping done....yeah well someone else had other plans for us because the car wouldn't start.   A light was left on so instead we put the battery charger on and baked instead.   I made 3 more kinds of cookies/candies Fri night.....got done around midnight.   Sat morning we got up and went to a caroling thing at the nursing home....followed that up with a party at the Dr's house.  After that we headed to get a few things we needed then headed home to make a big pot of chili and baked 5 dozen gingerbread men for decorating on Sunday at church.  Got all that done and ended up running to Walmart to get something I forgot.    Got home changed clothes quick and headed out again.....met at a lounge downtown for appetizers and a drink with some ladies I know from church and then we went to a play.   We had a great time.   Got home from there around 9pm and finished baking the gingerbread men and transferred the chili into crock pots.  Got to bed again around midnight.   Alarm went off at 7 am....got up plugged my crock pots in...had a half hour to peek at the paper.   I made breakfast and woke the rest of the family up.   After that we all got ready and loaded the car and headed to church.   We had chili lunch and a cookie bake afterwards.   The guys stayed and watched the football game while we baked.  Took everyone home and the goodies.   I cleaned up my messy kitchen from the night before then made a baked pork chop dinner.   After dinner I finally got my grocery shopping accomplished.    Wow no wonder why I'm tired!!!    I crawled in bed around 10pm last night exhausted.  

Today is work then I'm taking the evening off and heading out for supper with a friend of mine.  If I don't get home too late it'll be a haircut for DH quick and hopefully to bed early.  

It's freezing here....cold snap coming through for the next few days....no different than last week LOL.   It snowed just about an inch last night.  

Okay that is scary!  We had a fun weekend.  We drove up to Eagle River to "check it out".   Took the dogs to the doggy park, argued about renting or buying, and took the kids to the DR.  Darn colds...However, my son got to see his first Moose and he thought that was awesome!  Can't wait for this weekend so I can send out my Christmas Boxes!

Hi Ladies!!!!

Morning, morning.  Good night here last night.  It was Charlie''s (hubby) birthday!  We went and bought King Crab legs and Steak for dinner and then I wrapped the kidlets presents!!  Yeah.

Tonight we are going to go see Santa and I will finish up my shopping.  Just need a couple of gift cards and boxes to ship stuff.  I am on a roll. 

Tomorrow we are planning to drive up to Eagle River to check it out.  I am soooooo glad to be back in Alaska.  It just feels like home...:)

TGIF for sure!!   We had a good evening here last night.   Got the tree decorated finally.   Didn't do much else though.  Weekend is very busy here.   Tomorrow morning we have a caroling thing we do every year at a nursing home.   After that we head over to my Dr's house for a party for everyone involved.   We'll probably be there for an hr or two then it's off to do grocery shopping as I have to make a big pot of chili for church on Sunday.   I also want to get more cookies baked on Sat.   On Sun we're having a cookie bake and take after church service.   The women are staying to bake cookies and the men will head in and watch football after having chili for lunch.  Should be a fun afternoon.   Sadie is really looking forward to it cuz she gets to play with Becki all day....the girl who works in the nursery.    I'm thinking I'm bringing gingerbread men to make....but going to bake them at home and just bring the decorating part to do there.  DH's coworkers are bugging him about when I'm sending in my tray of cookies for them LOL.  They don't know me well or anything do they?   I love to make it but then send most of it out of the house so I can't eat it.    I really need to get busy and start wrapping gifts sometime too.  Not thinking it'll get done this weekend though.
 

Temp was about -10 this morning without the windchill.   I haven't pd attention to what the windchill was...all I know is the dog didn't want to go out at all!!  Glad I work from home on days like this.   Supposed to warm up a bit on Sunday but otherwise this is winter we might as well get used to it I guess.

I'm sitting here being very thankful to work from home and stay in my jammies today.  It's -24 outside with the windchill.......BRRRRRRRRRRRR.   I was thinking I'll go nowhere today until I realized we're almost out of milk shucks!!!   The plan was to get the tree decorated today...yes we've had it for about a week but still it sits bare LOL.   Work is frustrating today so I can't wait for 4pm!!
