Happy New Year!   Court, I hope you both get back to feeling well really soon.   Yesterday was hubby's birthday so we spent the day together.   Sadie came with us to have lunch out then he and I went to a movie alone woohooo it's been a while since we have been out alone LOL.  Today we're just hanging around home then going to a get together at church tonight for food, fun, and games.   Sadie is coming with and bringing her own games and movies lol.  It's better than sitting home and that's the only other thing we'd be doing.  I am thinking tomorrow we'll take Sadie to see the new chipmunks movie.   She's so excited to go see it.  Other than that we have no big plans at all for the next few days.   Hope you all are doing well.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful New Years Eve with your family/friends and I wish you the best for 2010.  Hubby and I are still home sick with this flu/stomach bug we caught so we had to cancel our plans for tonight.  Guess we wil be ringing in the new year together & sick.  Gives a new meaning to "in sickness and in health", lol.  Don't think there will be much going on for us today.  I just hope we get to feeling better really soon.  Have a great one!

Having been off work so much I am losing track of my days.  Hubby was home with the flu yesterday and I think he shared with me as I am not feeling great.  No appetite but I am forcing the fluids.  Not sure what the plans are for today.  Depending on how we feel we are going to run the oldest to the DMV for her learners, maybe pick up the nephews and our "son" or we may just make it a lazy day to relax.  Having some friends over tomorrow for the new year, looking forward to that.  Have a great day!

No more work for me for the week Yesssss!  Last night I took my son shopping for a bit then came home...did the wii fit and then watched the football game with DH.  I'm off to the workman's comp Dr this morning for my carpal tunnel.   Not having issues right now but it took them since Aug when I first filed to get their stuff together to see me LOL.   After that I think it's just relaxing at home today.  Tomorrow is DH's birthday so I need to try to do something for him.

Have a great Tuesday!

Hello ladies!  Really enjoyed my day yesterday.  Took the dog for a nice long walk, got some cleaning & laundry done.  Used my new bread maker and made some fresh cinnamon raisen bread and fixed a nice dinner.  Since hubby had an 8 hour day,  no overtime, we played some Wii Sports Resort when he got home and got a bit more exercise.  Today I am supposed to get my nephews for a sleepover, hubby is home sick so I will have to see how he is feeling before I make the final decision.  I think both of the girlies have ditched us for tonight but our adopted son wants to come over too.  Houseful as usual here.  Have a great day!!

HI everyone!   Yayyy for vacation Court!!   I work today and then am off the rest of the week.   DH does the same and his birthday is Wed so we should have a good week of time to spend together and with Sadie.   I'm right there with you as far as our family planning to work together on eating better and getting more exercise.   I'm hoping the WII fit will help some with that since it's so cold outside around here.  It's funn cuz Sadie will stand next to whoever is doing it and copy whatever you're doing so even she's getting some exercise.  We're having a lot of fun with it so far.

Our Christmas celebrations are over as well.   Last one was yesterday and we had a great time with my hubby's coworkers.   They all spoil Sadie rotten as well.  The one couple is in their 70's and adopted Sadie as their granddaughter the day she was born.  They only have 2 boys and 2 grandsons so never had a girl to spoil lol.  Their gransons also have chosen to not be in their lives any more either...pretty sad but it makes us happy that we've chosen to encourage Sadie to have a relationship with "grandma and grandpa".  They mentioned yesterday that she's the only grandchild they have any more so to speak.   He even mentioned that he took the other two out of his will.   I was like whoaaaaaaa wait a minute that means Sadie is in it??   Floored me a bit...I knew they love her but didn't really think it went to that extent.   Anyway we had them and another couple and another lady from his work here for an appetizer dinner.   It was great and I asked how come we only do this at Christmas....we need to do it more often.   Soooo DH and I decided maybe we'd do a Valentines thing for everyone this yr as well.

We're not doing anything other than maybe out for breakfast for DH's birthday.   Thurs for New Year's Eve we're going to church to play games etc... with friends there....kids included so it's a family thing.   Should be a great time.   Other than that no big plans for my week off....I'm thinking about painting the bathroom though.   We'll see how far that thought gets LOL.

Hello everbody!  How are you today?  Doing good here.  I think all of our Christmas get togethers are finally finished.  We are very blessed and had a wonderful holiday.  I am on vacation this week.  Plan to take some time to myself, get my nephews for a day or two, enjoy time with my hubby and the girlies.

I am really focused right now on getting myself back on track.  So I will again aim to quit smoking since I restarted, work on my food, exercise, and vitamin choices.  I really need to do this for me.  Got a new bike for Christmas so I will be braving our cold weather for that and to take the dog out for walks.  He needs the exercise and all too.  The whole house is complaining about their health & weight so we will be working on somethings as a team.  Hopefully this will help us all.

Michelle, we have the Wii and love it!  We enjoy a lot of family time together palying the different games and such.  I think the Wii fit is one we need to buy.  Hope you all have a great day!

Ok how about we got snow, sleet, rain, and more snow.   We ended up with 21 inches of snow!!!  What a mess.    We ended up staying home for Christmas eve...even church was cancelled.  We weren't sure if anyone would make it yesterday for dinnr or not but they did.   We had a great couple of days....even staying home was really nice.   We enjoyed spending time as a family.   My father in law and his girlfriend decided to get dh, my older kids, and I a family gift instead of a bunch of smaller single gifts.   They got us a WII and a couple of games...we were all very surprised and happy.   Tonight I bought the WII fit...I did it for a while and now DH is playing around with it.   We went to my mother in law's today to spend time with her since we didn't make it on Thursday.   We still have a get together tomorrow afternoon for our adopted family from the hospital.   Of course more spoiling for Sadie.  We do have some more shoveling to do and a lot of salting to try to get rid of some of this ice.

I hope you all had as great of a Christmas as we did.   We absolutely lovd all of our time with family.

I hope you ladis had a wonderful Christmas!  Did you get snow?  We got rain & fog.  Had a great day.  Was up early and did our presents, chilled out for a little bit and played with our new stuff, then up and off to head out to pick up our "son".  His Christmas morning did not go well and he wanted us to come get him, how could I not.  We hit my moms for a bit of visiting, then off to my dads for dinner.  I was a bit bummed as a bunch of the gifts got left at home.  Very frustrated cause I kind of felt like if I had some help instead of all the responsiblity falling on me, that might not have happened.  The girlies of course want to go shopping today to spend some of their gift cards.  We shall see how the day goes.  Although I enjoy the holiday very much and love the time with friends & famiy, I am glad it is over and hope that I can get some time to really focus on me for a bit.

We had fun last night baking the snickerdoodles!!!  As a parent, I need to bake more with Hunter.... so I can get better at anticipating what he will do.... and what he will pour into the cookies..... ha ha ha
We did "avert" potential disaster, but, he was putting his fingers/hands in the dough, and the poured some cinnamon with sugare, which is upoosed to go on the outside of the cookies, into the cookie mix!!!  I was a little stressed, as Hunter & I do not spend enought time baking in the kitchen, so I have a hard time "directing" my helper!!!   PLUS, it did not help that the cookies we were baking were not staying in our household, (the 3 of us, it's no big deal about germs & all that, but for work.....uhhhhh)  Anyways, you get my point.
That will all come in time, for the both of us!!!

So, today, I am participating in the cookie exchange, and the our work group is having a pot luck for Christmas.  So, it will turn out to be a busy day here.

Tomorrow evening, after I am done with work, DH, Hunter and I are heading to go do his side of the family Christmas celebration.  So, that should be fun!!!!

I called my mom to wish her a good trip over to Hawaii.  She will be gone 3-4 weeks, depending on when she signs on the house she is buying.  It needs a little repair, and from what she just said on the phone, her signing might be delayed by the underwriters.  So, we will see how that goes.  I think her stress level is already high, and she has not even left Alaska yet!!!!

So, everyone have a GREAT holiday & Happy New Year, if we don't all get to the computer!!!
