LOL Court...never a quiet moment with teenagers!!   Sounds like your evening was about like mine.  I worked 11 hrs yesterday then ran to the store.   I spent the evening doing some WII fit and then just playing around on it a bit.   Sadie and I read a couple of books.   I boiled up some eggs...and made hubby egg salad for work.   Trying to eat a little healthier and for myself trying to really cut carbs.  Things like hard boiled eggs for breakfast instead of toast etc...   I also got some precut broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots to snack on.   Sadie loves them as well.  So far today I've had no carbs.   I'm hoping to eat at least 2 meals with limted carbs and maybe 1 meal a day I can have a bit.  My goal this week is to cut out all sweets.   Last week was pop and I did it!   Yesterday I had a sweet tooth and took the choc chips out ....sat them on my desk and thought now why do that??   Put them back in the cupboard woohoo I can't believe I did that.  My other goal this week is to eat these veggies if I'm hungry for a snack instead of something not so healthy...after a week or two I'm hoping to cut snacks out most of the time.  We'll see how it goes.  I also need to get some exercise at least 5 days a week.   I'm just trying some baby steps.

Tonight is Sadie's school night so that's what we'll be doing.  Planning to come home and use the WII fit again and hopefully to bed at a decent time.

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Morning!  A bit late posting today cause I got in to work & had a lot to do first thing.  Enjoyed a lazy afternoon /evening in front of the tv yesterday.  Did get dinner cooked & a few things done in the kitchen.  Nothing really planned for tonight.  We have the girlies so I know it won't be too quiet, lol.  Have a great one!

Had a good weekend here as well.  Saturday, DH was off of work, so the plan was for him to take Hunter and spend some time with him, so that I could tackle the office, do some purging from the folders & get taxes ready, well, as ready as they can be, since we will need to wait for the majority of paperwork to come in the mail.
I got everything finished up in the office & felt VERY accomplished & "ahead of the game"
DH & Hunter came home, and I ended up going out to the movies with a friend to see Avatar (Totall AWSOME!!!) I had not been to the movies in over a year, so it was good.
When I got home, we had dinner & after we relaxed a bit, we finished getting the Christmas tree put away, with all of the Christmas stuff.
Sunday, DH worked & we had gusts of wind all day, heck, it has not stopped yet!!!
50-80 MPH gusts.  Power went out last night around 9:00, and came back on this morning, about 6:05.  Good thing we have a propane heater handy!!!!
Yep, still gusty here, but I will live, might be a bit whiney, since I have to be outside for work in this, but, ahhhhh, just another day.......

Have a GREAT day!!!!

Morning!  We had a good weekend.   Didn't do a lot but it was nice.   I did a lot of cooking trying to be sure we eat at home instead of stopping to grab something while out.  Fri night we just stayed home and relaxed.....Sadie and I fell asleep together in my bed watching tv.   Sat Sadie and I went to a bridal shower then I did grocery shopping and stayed in the rest of the night curled up watching some tv with hubby.   Yesterday we went to church and then ended up having a friend of ours over with her baby while her hubby worked.   She stayed for dinner and got to enjoy my chicken artichoke wild rice bake.   It was a great day visiting.  I made ginger pork chops on Fri and beef wild rice soup on Sat...all of it was really good...didn't miss going out to eat at all.

Have a great Monday!

Morning!  How was your weekend?  Mine was great.  Did everything as scheduled, date with hubby, shopping with mom, nephews over for sleepover, sister & niece visited on Sunday.  Lots of action & work so I relaxed & rested last night.  Today is my Monday off at work but I will be heading in for our Christmas luncheon.  Then home to do some cleaning, exercise, cooking, etc.  Hope you all have a great day!!!

WooHoo Happy Friday!  We are starting to contemplate our summer vacation already too.  Hubby's works goes around end of January/beginning of February down the list based on senority & they put their picks in so we have to plan early.

Michelle, sounds like you are doing well with the fluids, tired of trips to the bathroom yet? lol.  Here is the website for the shoes, looks like there is one there in Duluth.  http://www.sasshoes.com/index.php

So looks like a dinner date with my hubby tonight, shopping with my mom in the a.m., getting nephews for a sleepover in the afternoon.  Sunday will be fun with the kids, including one of my sisters & her little one.  Should be a fun evening.  We got an hour of wii sports in last night.  It was pretty fun.  Well got lots to do here at work today so I best get at it.  Have a great one!!

We made it!!!   It's been a long week but we made it.  Jamie, I would have no other days off either except our company decided to change and take our Christmas Eve holiday away and give us Martin Luther KIng Day instead so the week after next is a short week.   I may choose to work my OT that day anyway if they'll let me.  Since we have that day off I also have to work my Wed.   I'm looking ahead though and trying to plan for a few days off this summer and need to get that request in so there's some left...that summer calender fills up quick.   I have 5 weeks to use so I want to use some in the summer.

Court, thanks for the shoe info...I'll be looking into it.   I'd rather pay more for a pair of shoes I can actually wear than to keep buying several pairs to only find that they don't work a week or so later.  I do drink the Target brand of the crystal light.....there are some flavors i buy the actual brand but mostly i get the cheaper stuff.   I think tonight is a run to Target.

I have done well and not drank a diet dew all week....did lots of fluids yesterday.   Got a bit of time to myself as well.   Feeling better this morning.  Sadie and I have some shopping to do tonight and a bridal shower tomorrow morning.  We might go to a friend's tomorrow evening for a play date for both us and Sadie.  I need your opinions on what I'm thinking of doing for a gift for the bridal shower from just Sadie....this is a young lady that Sadie really adores...she really looks up to her a lot ( as well as the groom).  The wedding is in 2 wks.   Anyway I was thinking of putting a picture of Sadie in a double frame along with this poem on the other side. (wish i had a pic of the 2 of them together but i don't).   Here's the poem...

When I first met you, you greeted me with a smile.
I knew then I would be treated as a person, not a child.
The way you talk is kind, gentle as can be,
You make me feel like nothing will hurt me.
I have found out that the way you treat people comes from the heart.
It's hard to find someone special like you, to love people and be true.
So they can take a lesson or two and be guided by someone special like you.

Well, have a great day and a wonderful weekend!!

Good Morning!!!!

Michelle....... Drop off your daughter & DH..... go home & get some down time, you DESERVE IT!!!

Court, thank you!!!  I have been trying to swing my down side to the positive side!!  I am feeling better.

Just plugging along here.... Just pushing thru, (no more days off at work, darn it!!  Just the 5 days a week thing!!)  now that the holidays are behind us, daylight-wise, we are gaining daylight, little by little, not really noticeable yet, but, I am trying to hold out for daylight!!!  That always plays a roll in my mental health, some years it is worse than others.... Thinking POSITIVE here!!!

Have a GREAT day, ladies!!!!

I too am ready for the weekend.  Next week will be a short work week for me (again) and I can't wait.

Michelle, I wish you luck with the fluids & exercise, I am pretty much doing the same thing.  I tend to get really tired of always drinking crystal light though.  My fix for that, I make myself decaf tea with splenda in it.  I love the orange pekote/black pekote blend.  As for crystal light, I find the Target brand is pretty tasty too & costs less.  As for the shoe factor.  My mother has wide feet & due to not wearing proper shoes she was having bunions, spurs, constant sciatic nerve issues and such.  After being diagnosed with diabetes & reading up on the dangers with the feet she really started shopping for some better shoes.  I will have to ask her the name of the store she goes to so I can pass it on to you.  It is really expensive but so worth it to her.  She doesn't have too many problems at all anymore.  Of course she passed the wide feet on to me and I have a terrible time finding shoes, at least I am not at quite the spot she is in since losing my weight.  Hope you get to get some time to yourself and ease the brain some.

Jaime, glad to hear things are well with you.  Seems like you have been more upbeat lately and I am glad to see it.

Not much going on here tonight.  We have the girlies, perhaps we can have a wii sport challenge.  Hope you all have a great day!

Well, It's almost Friday...woohooo.   I am hoping it's a thirsty Thursday in addition with trying to kick the drinking soda...mostly diet dew....I'm going to really try to push the crystal lite today.  I haven't had a diet dew all week woohoo.  Now to work in more exercise is the trick.  I went to the foot Dr yesterday...they did xrays...he looked at them and walked into the room and said well, that foot of yours is quite interesting.   I was like oh great!!!  I have 2 extra tendons connecting my foot  to my baby toe and he thinks that's probably where my pain is coming from.   He gave me a prescription for an orthotic but ins won't cover it...which he suspected it wouldn't.   He told me to just keep trying to find comfy shoes...Yeah right...been trying for months.   Otherwise he said he can surgically remove them if it gets bad enough.   Well, I'm in no hurry to do that yet.   My appt took too long and Sadie missed her dance class woops.  She was so into looking at my bones.....she kept asking me to take them out for her to see LOL.   She also stepped onto the scale and proudly said...i weigh 36 hundred thousand pounds momma!!!   I said well then I'm surely not getting on that scale LOL.   She kept herself very entertained throughout the whole appt time.   I also got my h1n1 shot.....we've had 2 people in my dept at work die this yr so I figured I better just get it and get it over with.

Today is more work...then we have church this evening....I'm debating on dropping DH and Sadie off and just coming home to relax instead of going.   I'm struggling a bit mentally and could just use some down time.  Other than that nothing is planned.

Hope you all have a great day!
