Was a tough work week emotionally last week & this week will probably be worse, emotionally.  I will work through it, with time.
So, I had a rough weekned as well.

A vacation to the beach in the Hawaiian Islands is in order, too bad I have no plans for it!!

Hello!   Wow having a day off is not relaxing I'll tell ya LOL.   Oh well it's better than working.   I guess I won't complain Sadie slept til just about 10am.   I was up at about 9.  Fed Sadie breakfast...cleaned up my kitchen and have a big pot of beef stew on the stove already.   Sadie was loving it...she was running around with 2 big carrots eating them LOL.   Then I was cutting up a rutabage to put in it and she ate some of that raw too and said mmmm this is a good veggie mom.   She's a strange one I tell ya.   If I was making it for our house I'd not even put that in because the majority of my household doesn't like it.   I'm making this for a dinner we're doing for the traditional side of our church on Wed night.  No big plans for today ...just finishing up the stew.....picking DH up from work later...and I want to get Sadie's dresser cleaned out and organized.   I'm trying to figure out what to cook for supper as well.

We had a nice weekend.   Fri night we just hung out at home relaxing and watching some tv.  Sat we went out for breakfast and then took Sadie to see the Chipmunks movie.  She loved it soooo much.   She actually sat through the whole thing and watched it.  We stayed in the rest of Sat.   Yesterday DH went to the awesome Vikings playoff game so Sadie and I stayed home.   I worked 4 hrs and we went to church.   Other than that we stayed in all day.   Made a pot of spicy potato soup for supper and relaxed.  I love those kind of weekends!

Have a great Monday!

Hello ladies!  How are you and how has your weekedn been?  Great here.  We have had some nice relaxing times, great family time, got some house chores done.  Took the oldest out for her first drive on Saturday, she did pretty good.  Did a long walk/bike ride with the dog, plan to do another one today.  I am excited to say that I am down another lb this week.  Well off I go to start my day, have a great one!!

TGIF!!  Even if it feels like a Monday at work today.   Having some issues mostly they are operator error LOL.   I am off on Monday too so it's a long weekend.  Hubby is going to the playoff game on Sun in Minneapolis so I'm debating on if I'm getting in the car and driving the 3.5 hrs with the kids to my sister's or sitting home doing nothing hmmmm.   Both sound good to me.  Wish I could make up my mind.   If we don't go we're taking Sadie sledding tomorrow instead.  If I stay home I'll probably work a few hours on Sunday as well.   I should probably go visit my sister and have a full weekend off but I was also looking forward to sitting home and relaxing.   My other thing is we always snack on junk when we're together and I've done so well so far this week.   I'm afraid if I go it'll be all messed up.

Have a great weekend!

Came home last night & the hubby stepped on the dog, thought he broke his foot so off to the vet for an emergency appointment we went.  Vet said she didn't think it was broken, probably deeply bruised, gave him a round of puppy shots, some pain meds and sent us home.  He has a limp right now but woke up roaring to play.  Today is a holiday for me & hubby's day off so we will be spending some time together today just us.  Got the girlies this weekend so I am sure they are making plans with all their friends, hubby invited some friends over to watch playoff games, so it looks like it will probably just be a relaxing weekend at home for us.  Hope you all have a fabulous one!

Well, about all I can say is...it's Thursday.   Nothing going on here on my end.   DH stayed home sick today.  Sadie's enjoying relaxing with daddy.    After work I have to bring her dance costume back so they can return it.  Other than that I hope to get bills pd later.   Sorry no exciting news here.

Have a great Thursday!

WooHoo I got good sleep!!!!!  It is a good thing the puppy is a cutie and I love him so.  We decided to give him freedom last night and not limit him to just our bedroom for when he got restless and that seemed to work pretty well.  We did not discover any accidents or stuff he got in to & he didn't wake us up.  No plans for tonight, we have the girlies but the bil will not be home so perhaps we will get in some nice quality family time just the 4 of us.  Hubby and I are both off for the next 4 days, no big plans other than to get the Christmas lights down.  Will probably end up with a quiet weekend at home (we hope).

Jaime, congrats on the weightloss!!  Great job!  I hope to get back down to my goal weight.  We shall see if I make it or not.  Gotta work on the snacking & exercise.

Michelle, I remember my excitement over my dance recitals & costumes.  I am sure Sadie is just adorable.

Have a great day & stay warm.

Wow it's 8:30pm and I'm just getting around to checking in.   Had a busy but not bad day.   I worked 5 hrs this morning then took off with Sadie for the day.   We went to have lunch with daddy and then headed out to the mall.   We had a great time and found some really good deals.   She now has everything she needs to be a beatiful princess for the wedding we're going to in 2 wks.  I also found myself a nice top to wear to it.   Sadie had dance class this afternoon and is getting really excited about her recital in May now.   She got her costume today and absolutely loves it.   I'll have to get DH to upload pics so I can post one.  Only problem is it barely fits now and recital isn't til May so they're going to have to exchange it.  At least we have plenty of time.   Oh yes and I finished out my day tonight so I worked a full 8 hrs today.

I sure hope you are getting some good sleep tonight Court....good thing puppies are cute.   Jamie, keep warm up there.   It was about 30 here today...a heatwave!!!   It's supposed to be that warm this weekend too so we're going to try to do some sledding with Sadie.  DH is going to the Vikings playoff game Sun so maybe Sadie and I will do some ice skating who knows.

My diet is on the upswing that's for sure.   I really need to concentrate on more exercise though.   I think that'll be my goal next week.  I've done really well last week and so far this week.   Sadie had a treat at the store today and I wanted one soooo bad but decided to get beef jerky instead.   I did drink a soda but it's the first one in like 2 wks so I won't beat myself up.   Just so I don't do it again for a while.

Well, I'm headed out to bed.... talk to you all tomorrow!

My fear?  Yup, you gussed it, That it will find me
At least the wind has mostly subsisded.  We had wind up to 50MPH, and then we had gusts on top of that, up to 80MPH.  Did alot of damage.

Topic: Half Way Day!!!!!!!

WooHoo!!!!  Tomorrow is my last work day.  Friday is a holiday for VA State Employees.  I am so excited as then we get Monday too so it will be a 4 day weekend.  Surprisingly enough the girlies ditched us for the basketball game last night, the bil ditched us to go see his grandbaby so it was a quiet evening with the hubby.  We brought home some carryout, took the dog for a walk, then relaxed & watched tv.  Probably will be much of the same tonight.  The puppy was up at 3:30 this a.m. & didn't want to go back to sleep so I moved to the living room with him, needless to say I am exhausted & will be in bed early tonight.

MIchelle, sounds like you are doing pretty good with those baby steps.  I am doing a lot of the same here.  Definitely need better breakfast ideas as my mini bagels & yogurt are getting super boring.  Been using fruits and veggies as my snack options (sliced yellow & orange peppers, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, celery).  You may need to keep your snacks in your schedule, with the long days that you pull you will need the fuel to keep your body going.   I lost 6 lbs the week I was sick, gained 2 back & lost 1 so far.  Will see how well I keep it up.  Definitely ready for spring and warmer weather to utilize.  Sorry to keep repeating that but I am so not used to the bitter cold we have been having.  Have a great day!!
