Wow Jamie, I didn't know all that about your father-in-law, and what is wrong with your shoulder? What part of California will you be coming to? I am going the end of May to Michigan to see my mom and friends and to a girlfriend's daughter's wedding in northern Michigan. Maybe I can meet you somewhere when you are down in beginning of May, or will it be in southern CA?

Well, I went and got my MRI yesterday on my shoulder, and after I was finished, I asked the tech is she saw a tear.  She said she could not tell me anything, and that the radiologist had to read ti & then my doc would talk to me abouit...... blah, blah, blah.  I knew it was a 50/50 chance, but I had to ASK!!!!

And with work, The lady who has been giving me projects leaves for a 2 week vacation, so, I might be home, instead of working on light duty, if no one has any work for me.  That is the COLD reality I face.  Yes, I will still get some money, but I feel "more productive as a person" when I am working.

Friday is my doctor appointment, so, at least we will have a better idea on that.

My DH booked tickets Thursday night for us to go down th last week in May, to see his parents in California for a week.  His dad is going through the process of getting a bone marrow transplant, and after DH stopped by his aunts house (about a week ago) and had a frank talk about his dad & how he is doing & the surgery itself, my husband was very firm that we needed to go down there.  DH's aunt is his dad's sister.  Anyways, taking a stab in the dark with the first numbers.... any surgery has risks of you "not making it off of the table"  say the number is like one in two-hundred thousand.  His dad's bone marrow surgery is one in fifty that do not make it off of the table.  This honestly scared my husbad.

So, there is the update.

Well, I'm having a terribly rough morning.   We are taking the cat in at 2pm to be put to sleep.   I keep having waves of emotions...crying...feeling guilty....second guessing what we're doing etc...   I just wi**** was 2 and we could be done with it so I could grieve and not have this other junk.   I've never had to do this before...as a kid our pets all died naturally.   We've had Lilly for 15 yrs.  It makes for a hard day at work.  I spent a lot of time just cuddling her last night...got her some treats and talked to her.    After all that I have to take my son for an eye appt and then we'll take Sadie to the Y for some swimming and I'm sneaking upstairs to exercise while they swim.  I really need to work off some stress today.   Tomorrow hubby is working on breaking up the concrete in the back yard....I need to get housework done.   No other plans for the weekend at all.  Hopefully a little relaxing time as well.    Oh yeah and a trip to the Y each day.

Topic: Finally Friday!!!
I know the full moon was last week but boy am I feeling the effects this week.  So I think I forgot to mention that on Wednesday when the hubby took the oldest out driving someone backed right into them.  We get up this a.m. and the restrictions on their phones are messed up and the oldest is panicking cause she has no phone service (pms causing over reacting), I try to fix it and the internet is down at home, I take them in to school (knowing I will be late to work) so that hubby can sleep in cause it is his day off, well we are running late because of the phone issue, have to go by their mom's cause they both forgot clothes stuff they needed, finally get them settled & I am headed in to work when the youngest calls, she was supposed to wear her soccer jersey & forgot, so back to the school I went to pick her up, take her back to her mom's to change and back to school.  I finally made it in to work 1 1/2 hours late.  If I hadn't known there was some important stuff to do I would have just called in.  At least I was well rested and could laugh at it all and didn't get stressed.  Boy am I counting the time until 5.

For the weekend it will be some family time since hubby is off and we have the girlies & our "son".  Bday party for my nephews, getting our hot tob put in to place, 1st soccer game of the season, etc.  Hopefully the weather will stay nice so that we can enjoy it all.  Have a great weekend!!!

Michelle, so sorry to hear about your cat.  Glad to hear that your night was good & you had some relax time.

Jaime, yes there are other rewards to having teens.  Plus it is different with girls vs. boys.  Glad to hear you are finally getting somewhere with the doc, hope that an answer is found soon.

Not so great here.  Let's just say I am struggling with myself all the way around and I have a lot of work to do.  So hoping that I can get some peace and get it all sorted out.  So we have the girlies tonight, no plans though.  Will see what ends up happening.  I am going to do my best to get in some exercise & get to bed early.  I have not slept well the last few nights & have been up way to late so I need the rest or it will make things worse for me.  Have a great day ladies!

Morning!   Good to hear from you Jamie.   Miss you here but I totally understand.  Once I'm done with work I rarely get on the computer.  I'm glad you're getting that MRI.  I sure hope it's nothing too serious for you.  Keep us updated!!    Court,  I hope you had a relaxing and as calm as possible evening with teenagers.  Mine was actually pretty nice.   I quit work early...took Sadie to the park...it was cold and windy so after a little bit I took her to McDonald's playland for a bit.   We headed home and made a good dinner then finished up 1 more hour of work while it cooked.   She took a bath and we relaxed for the evening.

I did however finally admit to something last night.   Sad sad sad night.   We have 3 cats and our oldest is a girl.   She's probably about 15 yrs old.  We've noticed for a while that she's lost weight....doesn't move around as much, can't get up on the bed, couch, etc...    We are pretty sure she has arthritis.   She didn't seem too bothered by it.  We just gave her a bed on the floor...and gave her lots of love.   Well, last night I realized she's now not using the litter box either.   I found a blanket that she's been using instead.   I was not mad but it made me realize that I think it's time to take her in and am really thinking she just needs to be put down.   The poor thing is even having a hard time walking....just don't want to watch her suffer.  DH is calling the vet today.  Now. how to explain it to Sadie will prove interesting.

Well, I better get to work.  Hope you all have a great day!

WOW, is this what I get to look foward to in 10 years??!!??
Please tell me that being a parent to a teenager still will have reward, just different ones, I am guessing?

So, here is the latest update on my doc & shoulder.  Went today to doc, it has been 4 weeks since I was referred to an orthopedic surgeon, saw him 4 weeks back, I asked for an MRI, and he was pretty much like, well, no, not yet, we will get you going on physical therapy & I will see you in 4-6 weeks.
So, I go in this morning, and I said "OK, it has been 2 months sice I have hurt my shoulder"  and he replied, after reading over the note the physical therapist sent over on my progress with her (I have been going 3 times a week)... I have also had a 10 pound lifting restriction, so I have been working in accounting, since I am on light duty.  He said "I thought you would have progressed more than this by now"  (I am thinking to myself, NO **** SHERLOCK)
So, FINALLY, I have an order for an MRI.  It is scheduled for Saturday morning, the first avaliable & I took it.  Then back to the doc on the 16th for my follow-up to go over the MRI results.

So, there is my long-winded update.  I have been very frustrated, I know that goes with the territory.  Just glad FINALLY I have an order!!!!

We are going to be taking our vacation the end of next month & flying down to California to see DH's parents.  The docs want to do a bone marrow transplant of sorts on his dad (he has bone cancer).  I will keep you updated on that as well.

Since I am in accounting, I have ZERO privacy to be "screwing around" on the website, anywebsite, so, this is why you are only hearing from me about once a week, cause I have limited time to get on the computer at home, with daddy & Hunter.

Hope you Easter's were good!!!  I have pics on a CD, now, I will just have to get some on my profile for you girls..... to be contiued!!!!

Oh Court you sound like you need that get away really bad.   I hope things calm down for you.   I sooo understand the teenage stuff.   My 20 yr old and her friends started some stuff last night but I decided to let it roll off my back.   They are all adults and not my responsibility.   I did however have to stop her when she was going to take some Mike's hard lemonade from the fridge with her.    I was cranky last night...had a rough work day so I left Sadie home with daddy for a bit and went to the Y to work out.   Wow...me work out instead of eat because of stress???   I think an alien took over my body.   I'm going to relax this afternoon and evening and have fun outside with Sadie...probably a walk with her and the dog later to get a little exercise.  No Y tonight.   Tomorrow we will go again.   Lots planned for the weekend as far as projects around the house so our Y times will be our getaway.   It's spring break in the schools here so Sadie has no dance class today either.

Speaking of getaways....hubby asked me if he planned something for a surprise if I'd be willing to just get in the car and drive...he can't drive so he has to have me on board for that.   Sometime in May is what he's saying.   Although he says it's a day trip so nothing big.   Will be fun to be surprised though.   I'm just hoping it doesn't involve sports..

Have a great hump day!

Well did pretty well at home by myself yesterday.  Got a lot accomplished with was good.  We enjoyed a nice family dinner then it all went down hill.  2 teenage girls with pms, one with splinters in her foot & poison ivy all over her face, the other with a toothache and allergy issues do not bode well for a fun evening.  Hubby was grumpy due to being in the heat all day.  We all ended up in bed late & thus over tired this a.m. and running late due to lack of motivation.  seems like today is going to follow the pattern of the rest of the week so far.  Hubby and I are making plans for a get away Memorial Day weekend, so at least I have something to look forward to.  Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Well yesterday sucked for me.  Stress finally got to me and I had a breakdown, left me drained for most of the day, on top of feeling cruddy from allergies.  Did not get things done like I wanted do to unexpected things  Ended up picking up the oldest and going shopping with my mom & sis, it was nice but mentally I was't really in to it.  Then had to take the oldest to the dentist cause of a tooth ache, $400 later it is a root canal and crown, ugh!  We did find her prom shoes while shopping and they weren't too expensive.  Did dinner and laziness last night, slept like crap so took a sick day.  Maybe I can get the house stuff done today.  A fresh clean house, open windows & music might help.  Have a great day!!
