That's awesome!!   We are heading out camping tomorrow as well.   I worked hard today and have almost everything ready.   Van is packed except for food that goes in the cooler.  Sadie is sooo excited.

I haven't been on much this week.   Been off work busy doing things around here and dealing with Sadie's fever.   Today was day 10 of the fever.   She started out with a sore throat and the fevr but now she acts like there's nothing wrong just the fever.   We were back at the Dr today and they find nothing.   They told us to take her camping anyway and unless the fever spikes or she develops other symptoms to just let her have fun.   If the fever is still there Tues we are to bring her in again for more testing.

Well, it's 11:15 pm I suppose I should get to bed so I'm not too tired and can enjoy myself tomorrow.

Happy 4th of July everyone!!

Topic: YAY!!!! Camping at LAST!!!
We have had issues with our cab-over caper, the front jacks became wobboly & basically unsafe.  DH came home from his archery moose hunting (ALWAYS August 10-17 every year) and said that the camper needed to be fixed, that we were not going out camping again, until we got the jacks repaired.  So, last fall, he took the camper in & had it winterized for the winter & he asked the people for a quote for the repairs.  Ready for this??!!??  $1,500.00 EACH JACK!!!!  So, $3,000.00 bill.  We got the camper parked for the winter & I, of course was completely bummed.
Well, after we got home from California, DH started calling around & geting quotes from different people.... and got a quote for repairing BOTH of the jacks for $500.00 total.
We dropped off the camper, had the jacks fixed & picked it up last night.  DH works retail, so, a holiday of any kind equals he will be working.... low & behold, he gets sat, sun & mon off!!!  So, we are going to be getting every thing packed up into the camper tonight & tomorrow, when I get off of work & home, we are taking off!!!

It has almost been an entire year since I was camping so I AM EXCITED!!!!

Topic: RE: It's Monday.....a very short week for me.
We had a good weekend here as well.  Saturday, we had the cable guy come, our cable company is offering 3 months free, no commitment for an upgrade to a DVR.  So, he shows up & ends up needing to get to the jack in our bedroom.... we have our headboard which is like 4 or 5 pieces, that needs to be taken apart to move...... this is the same bedroom that I had painted while we were down in California & they did not paint behind the bed, cause they couldn't move it.  Which I had told them to begin wit,,,,,,,, just paint everything else, ya know??
So, since the bedroom was all tore apart, I told DH, let's go ahead & finish painting, that way it is done.
We like our DVR, DH has been playing with it, and who can beat 3 months free & no commitments???
Today, DH is going to take the camper over & drop it off to get the jacks repaired on it.... maybe we will get to go caping this summer??!!??

Michelle, I hope Sadie is feeling better & that all of you get to go camping this coming weekend!!!

Have a GREAT DAY!!!

I am sooo excited for tomorrow to be over with.   I actually think I'm only working 1/2 day today as Sadie is still not feeling well.   Well, actually she was fine Sat and Sun but was up most of the night again last night and was up crying this morning.  She went back to sleep though so we'll see I guess.   We had an awesome weekend.   We did a bit of rummage saling Sat morning...then went to the Y for some exercise.   We took Sadie and my niec to see Toy Story 3 that afternoon......Sadie thought we were going to a baseball game.  Wow that surprise was awesome for her.   Sat night we went to a birthday party.    Yesterday we planned to get housework done.   We went to church and were invited out to our friend's cabin so we ditched the housework.   Duhhh that wasn't a hard decision to make.   We had a great time out there.   Sadie caught a bunch of little fish and did some swimming.   Jamie, I was thinking of you while we were there.   Some friends of theirs were here from Alaska.   He was telling us stories about moose and bear.   They are fron Unekleet (probably spelled that wrong).   He works for the Alaskan Christian College.   We all had a great time.  Sadie was tired out.   We assumed she'd sleep real well......well never ever assume anything because we were up almost all night with her.   She has a bit of a fever again this morning.   Hopefully she'll kick whatever it is because we're heading out camping from Fri until Mon.

I hope you all had a great weekend and are doing well!

Well, we have made it through another work week!!!  I for one am happy.  DH is off of work today & tomorrow, so he isgetting projects done.  We found a cheaper price to get our cab-over caper fixed too, so we iwll be dropping that off tomrrow & they will have it for a week, fixing it.  The front camper jacks were starting to wobble & the metal & plywood needed to be peeled back & the plywood replaced, the 1st estimate we received last fall was $2500.00.
Of couse we did buy the camper used, but WOW!!!
So, this new price is under 1/2 the cost!!!  It sure will be nice to be able to go camping this summer, I have been wanting to go camping, that is for sure!!!!

So, I am grateful for the good news.... of getting our camper fixed!!!!

Have a GREAT weekend!!

Michelle, that is hard.... Life is strange like that, having a secret, and then, for some strage reason, having the need to tell...... then, all of the sudden, they die.  wow

We have been having a hrad time here at work with that as well, one of my close co-worker's.... he is VERY close with his family (he & his wife have no children-but are very family oriented) his mom has cancer, and has been going thru chemo treatments too... about 2 weeks ago, he told us that she was having problems with staggering & occasionally falling..... they did a CAT scan & the cancer has traveled to her brain.  Yesterday, I found out that her cancer has spread to her spine as well.

And, with my fater-in-law..... he is doing ok with his chemo treatments, they are all done with going down to Stanford University until July 22nd, when they will be performing the bone marrow transplant.... he still goes to the cancer treatment center daily, in his town, and gets 3 chemo shots in his stomach.

So................. we have been struggling here, as well, with loved ones, and co-worker's & their loved ones, it is a sad time, knowing he will lose his mom soon.  It just SUCKS!!

Topic: Hump Day

Yayyy we're halfway to the weekend yet again!!

Not a lot on our agenda for today.   Work and then the Y.   If it doesn't  rain hoping to take the girls to the park.   If it rains it'll probably be a relaxing day in catching a movie or something.  We're really enjoying my niece being here with us.   I'm hoping she's having fun...lol actually I know she is.

Last night we had 2 visitations to go to.  It was a tough evening.  The one was for my uncle's father in law....older man so not so hard to take.   The other was for a friend's father in law.   He had run a 1/2 marathon on Sat and had a heart attack and died after he finished.   Just before the race started...she told him a secret.   She told me last night that it wasn't planned but for some reason she just felt she had to tell him.   She is expecting their 2nd baby.   What a sad day for the whole family.   Learning a new life will be joining them just as they lost  him.   This happened to me when I was pregnant with my son.   I wasn't going to tell my mother yet but for some reason I did.   Well, she died about a week later.

Well, you all have a wonderful day!

Michelle, yes, I agree, summer is going by tooooo fast!!!!  Yesterday was the longest day of the year & as an Alaskan.... I say it is all downhill from here!!!  Now we start losing time!! YICK!!!

Fathers day was nice, even though DH had to work.  His inventory is today.  And, after work, he gets to come home & rest, with a quiet house (He went in to work at 2am this mornig) then, he gets to turn around and drive the 60-65 miles to Anchorage & do the airport run... he is picking up his sister & family from their trip outside.  But all of the trips & airport runs, between us being gone & his sister being gone will be all done!!!
My equipment here at work with my new program have been running better.... I am waiting on one part for my eqipment, and then, it should be SMOOTH SAILING................................... I can't be happier!!!!

HAVE A great day!!!!

Good morning!  I am hoping all of you are doing well.  It's been quite busy around our house.   Summer is already going by so fast.  We have one more graduation party this coming weekend and then we are done with them I believe.  Looking forward to our big camping trip next weekend.   We were at my sister's this past weekend for a really big grad party for my 2 nieces and my nephew.  It was a blast.  They rented a 5 in 1 inflatable bouncer, cotton candy machine, and popcorn machine.  Wow did the kids have fun.   Sadie was busy all weekend and it almost seemed as if she wasn't even there.   We had to round her up and make her eat something or she wouldn't have even stopped to eat.  It was a lot of fun to be with the family.   Now we're excited to spend the weekend camping with them for the 4th of July.   We sent my son off on his trip to Florida before we left last Friday....he made it there safely and is having a great time already.   Sooooooooooo I just couldn't have a quieter house with him gone lol.   We brought home my 13 yr old niece for the 2 wks he's gone.   I'm loving having her here.  She's awesome with Sadie.   She came with us to the gym last night and had my husband worn out from playing basketball while I worked out.   I think we'll take her out for dinner tonight.   We're taking her and Sadie to see Toy Story 3 this Sun...Fri is a baseball game....Sat a birthday party...Sun a grad party....and next week I only work Mon and Tues so I'll have lots of time to do fun things with her.   We then will end her stay with taking her along camping.   She is my niece from my sister who is getting divorced and she is not my sister's biological daughter so we don't see her as much as the other kids.   We still get along with her dad well though and I'm so glad he still lets her spend time with us.

Well, I better get my nose to the grindstone.   Have a great day!

Well, we finally made it through the week.  I wasn't feeling very well but seem to be feeling better this morning thankfully.

Hope you all have a fun weekend planned.   Happy father's day to all the dads!  We are heading out of town to my sister's tonight.   Big grad party for my nieces and nephew tomorrow.   There's also a parade in town that I might take Sadie to.   My sister's have rented a 5 in 1 inflatable jumping thing, cotton candy machine, and a popcorn popper so we may decide not to leave LOL.  I'm bringing my 13 yr old niece home afterwards for 2 wks as well.  Should be a lot of fun.  I am working only 8 hrs today then on our way out.   They changed my schedule again so I'm done at 2 pm which I really like on a Friday lol.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoys their weekend.
