No lurkers going to respond??
Guess I am the only one here for most of the week. DH's dad is ok, they released him from the hospital, and he has to stick around Standford for about 10 more days. Then he will be able to be home and recover more. Glad he has pulled through this.

Sounds like you have some fun times in store for you & your family, Michelle!!! Glad you get to get away & relax, too!!! We have only been out just the one time this year & I sure hope we get to go out at least one more time (heck I am hoping for 2 times!!! -- But that depends on the weather & snowfall)
Next Tuesday is opening of archery moose hunting, and DH also flies out for his caribou in a week..... He will be busy, but a good kind of busy, cause he likes killing stuff!!! And, I am behind him & supportive of his hobbies, I LIKE that he likes to provide for me & hunter, that is one of the traits that attracted me, when were dating!!!! Gonna be a busy couple of weeks, but a good busy!!!
I will keep you posted on DH's dad. I am thinking he should be discharged some time today, and then they have to still stay down in the Stanford area for another week or two, but, then they will drive the 4 hours home & will be working on recovering & going foward in their lives TOGETHER!!!!
Have a GREAT weekend!!!

Jamie, glad to hear things are going well for your father in law. I sure hope he continues to progress well. Hopefully your freezer will be full for the winter as well.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Wow, Michelle!! Very tough news to swallow!! But, there is always the telephone!!
Doing good here. DH came home from fishing & filled our freezer with fish for the winter. Saturday, he has a "hunting safety" course to go to, for the moose draw out on the base, that he got. Archery moose opens the 10th. He will be flying out for his caribou in 10 days, as well. So, this hunting season, I will be a 'hunting widow' twice!! This is always the BUSy time of year for us. Not too sure how he has everything planned out, guess it is time to firm up what he has planned!!! HA HA. All I know, is that I get up, get ready, get Hunter ready, and then drop him off at daycare, and I go to work!!!
DH's dad is doing good, he is still in the hospital, but his blood counts are coming back better, and he made 3 laps around the hallways yesterday!! So, hopefully, if they do not discharge him tomorrow, he should be discharged Friday, which is exactly on their target, from the stem cell transplant he just went through.
Have a GREAT day!!!!

Hope everyone is doing well. Enjoy the summer or what's left of it!
I am a "fishing widow" for the weekend. DH is out with his buddys fishing in Kenai & Seward. One of his friends, who used to live up here, and moved to Colorado about 4 years ago, is up visiting. So, they are catching up with each other & fishing!!
Then, it will be on to the moose, and caribou killing!! August will be a busy month, for getting our meat in the freezer for the winter!!
Update on my father-in-law... he had his stem-cell transplant last friday & is doing ok. The people down at Stanford University said for him to expect to be hospitalized about 5 days after the initial transplant, because that is how the majority of stem-cell transplant patients do, the get sick, and then, get hospitalized, and then, once they are better, they are released. The people at Stanford University said that DH's dad will not have to have chemo for 7 years!!! By that time, he will be 75!!
So, it has been bumpy, busy & stressful, but we are all plugging along the best we can!!!

Well, it seems we're all busy these days. Not many posts. I'm very glad it's Friday. It's been a long week but I have a 3 day weekend now so that'll be nice. We're heading out of town this afternoon and will be back Sun evening. I hope it's a nice relaxing weekend.
Sadie is doing great. Swim lessons are really great. We noticed last night that she's really picked up a lot in these 6 weeks. I think we're signing her up for another session as well. Next week is the last one for this session.
Next week I work 4 days and then we're off for 9 and are going camping.
Hope everything is doing well!
Glad to see you post Jamie!! Hope you're enjoying your summer.
Court, we are missing you!!! Hope things are well for you.
