Prayers for Juliana & her team of doctors for her surgery & a quick recovery.

I am working a half day today & then I am volunteering at the fair for recycling. DH & Hunter are planning to meet up with me there & then we will have fun for a few hours this evening!!!!

Looking foward to going camping this coming weekend. It will be my last camping trip of the summer.... already!!!!!

None of my kids are allergic to mosquitos but I was diagnosed with this as a child. I fortunately wsn't quite as bad as your son is. I didn't need an epi-pen but did have a medication I can remember taking for the swelling. As an adult I get a bigger welt than most normal people but it's not as bad any more. Sorry to hear your poor little guy is having such a tough time with it. I don't know about where you are but here in MN it's pretty hard to avoid mosquitos. Good Luck!!

Seriously my son has just been diagnosed being allergic to mosquito's. He is 2 years old. he had gotten two mosquito bits in a matter of seconds the other day. one on his forehead, the other on his ankle area. well his forehead swelled up, it looked like a golfball was in his head, and his ankle/foot was so swollen he couldn't fit in his shoes. by the next morning his swelling on his forehead had gone down, but now his eyes were completely swollen shut! went to the Dr's and his ankle/foot had actually developed into cellulitis, and was given an antibiotic and steroid for swelling. and an EpiPen Jr.
I didn't know one could actually be that allergic to Mosquito's, an epipen for a mosquito bite, is just craziness. on Friday we are having an allergy panel done to check for shellfish (which i am allergic to) wasps/bees (my brother is allergic to and has an epipen), there is one more thing, i believe ants. we are not going to enviormental because that involves more blood, supposedly. but i am not all that worried about grass and dust, there is claratin or Zyrtec for that, i just want to know the things he might be allergic to that could kill him.
is anyone Else's kids allergic to mosquito's?

My Tuesday was pretty good. Hit the gym after work & then got the hubby & headed out for Happy Hour with some coworkers. We had a great time. Hit Walmart for some things then headed home. I read for a bit then hit the pillow. Not too much on the books for today other than work, gym & an evening at home. Hope you have a great one! Prayers going out for Juliana!

Topic: Hump Day!!

I'm so looking forward to this long weekend coming up. I want to sleep past 5 am for a change. We have lots going on but hopefully I'll get some rest. Great new pics Jamie!! Hunter is quite the handsome little man! Anybody have anything fun planned for today. Not much going on here....working then trying to get some good relaxing in tonight. My "big" kids both have to work tonight so it'll be nice and quiet here. I am going to go visit a fellow WLS patient at the hospital this afternoon. If anyone has time to slip in an extra prayer she sure could use it...her name is Juliana....she had surgery almost 2 wks ago. She was admitted to the hospital yesterday with an abscess the size of a ball near her heart. They're going to have to do surgery either tomorrow or Fri. She has a son that's almost 3 and is a single mom....she's terrified that something will happen and he'll be left without her. Enough about me and my life. How are you all?
