Sounds like our weather is pretty much the same yet again. It's cooooolllld here today and is supposed to be most of tomorrow as well. There's a winter storm brewing though. Here in town we're supposed to only get 1-2 inches but lucky me...this is the weekend we areheading out of town....right into the storm. Gotta love winter. Well my boss agreed to let me have half a day off and Luke found someone to work for him so we're leaving town early tomorrow instead of Sat morning like we'd plan so hopefully we'll miss it all. I'm bringing my cookie baking stuff and Luke's bring the sled for he and Sadie....so we're perfectly fine if it snows. We aren't coming back til later on Monday anyway. So after about 4pm tomorrow...Let it Snow!!!

Hope this post finds everyone still full of turkey from Thanksgiving!!! Our 2 celebrations were good. Had Thursday at DH's aunts and Saturday with my family at my house. Gave DH & I an excellent excuse to clean up our house!!! It is hard to keep up on all of the dusting & things like that, with both of us working full time, seems like only the necessary cleaning duties get done, and the res get shoved aside for a later date. Oh well, such is life!!!
The rain has stopped here & now we are having yet another wind storm. The weather says that the wind is supposed to let up sometime today. It is nearly lunchtime, and it has not let up yet. Maybe tonight?

Her eye appt today went well. She did have to get glasses. We went and picked out frames and they had to order the lenses since they didn't have what she needed in. We will hopefully get them next week. She chose red frames....she can't wait to get them.

Have fun & relax a little!!! How did Sadie's school thing go? Hopefully well.
I am looking foward to my time off as well, I will be off for 5 days. A much needed mini-vacation!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
You can only try and tell your children so much, and then it just seems like they have to experience for themselves to have it "click". I know from my own personal experiences that this IS TRUE!!!
After tomorrow, I am off of wor****il Tuesday & I am excited to have a mini-vacation!!! From work, anyways!!! We still have 2 Thanksgivings, and one of them is at our house Saturday.
The roads are better today, more slush equals more traction!!! The Anchorage school district and the Mat-Su school district closed elementary schools yesterday, after the middle schools and high schools had so much trouble!!! They also closed ALL grades today!!! The Anchorage school district superintendant was on the news this morning, and she said that she stands behind her decision yesterday early morning to keep the schools open yesterday (I am thinking that this was before she had experienced the conditions for herself, personally). Then she went on to say that she TAKES RESPONSIBILITY for her decision. Now, THAT I LIKE!!!

Ok not so much exciting for me. Just the same old Tuesday buttttttt Sadie will be more than excited. She keeps seeing it snow up on the hill but none in her yard. Well, last night it finally did. There's probably about 2 inches out there. Not a lot but enough for her to play in a bit. Daddy told her if she's dressed when he gets home from work he'll take her out to help him shovel. Getting dressed is the big thing though since she tends to either stay in jammies or take them off and run around in her underwear all day. Good incentive to get her to keep clothes on LOL. We're supposed to get more snow tomorrow and Thurs as well. Hopefully not too bad so we get to my father in law's for dinner Thursday.
Tonight is Sadie's school otherwise nothing is going on big. My son decided last night that his sister and her boyfriend are disgusting and he wants to move back home. He was gone barely 3 weeks LOL. I knew it wouldnt' take him long. Sadie is excited she misses her brother. He slept here last night and she was excited for his sleepover. We were in bed and she was still up talking to him. Hopefully she sleeps in this morning for him.
Well, off to work I go! Have a terrific Tuesday!
Just trying to get some housework done tonight and maybe another hour of work but we'll see. If not I'll have to work a couple of hours on Friday. I would do it Wed evening but I already have to flex time to take Sadie to the eye doctor. Hopefully it will be soon we get glasses for her so she can see better.
Just glad it's a short work week!!
