Yeah!!!! Great news Michelle!!! Congratulations!!!!!!
My Wednesday went pretty well too. Due to teacher work day we had the girlies last night instead of tonight. So we enjoyed a family night at home. Hubby will take them to soccer practice tonight and they will go home with their mom so I will end up with a night to myself. Took some me time last night and chilled out in the bedroom, ended up falling asleep at 8:45. Boy do I feel rested today. Will try to hit the bed early tonight too as I have an interview at work tomorrow for a higher position. Wish me luck and have a great day!!

I don't really have experience with little ones as my stepdaughters were already preteens when I joined their life but I see things with my neices and nephews. My 2 year old neice can be crazy and demanding. She tells her parents no & back talks. She gets the timeouts & stuff too. I am sure being consitent is a major part of it. The teeth issue may be a big part of it. Since he is waking up in the night perhaps it is bad dreams? Just keep plugging through.

Good Morning! Well, there's only one more day and it's the weekend! I am sooo looking forward to the weekend. I had a good Wednesday. DH came home from work sick yesterday. I worked my day and did a couple of errands. After that I came home and relaxed for the evening. Spent some time with Sadie and looked online ant paint colors. I was in bed at 9pm..and it felt good. Nothing much planned for today other than midweek events at church tonight if we're feeling up to going.
We got a call back from our realtor last night. The seller has agreed to fix everything we asked him to fix from the inspection. We're in! 3 wks from tomorrow the house will be ours officially. Wow now I really need to get busy packing. It'll be a busy weekend.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Well, I'm not sure I'll be much help but I am here to listen if you need it. Generally my 2 yr old is very laid back and even tempered. We haven't hit a "terrible two" stage yet. I do have 2 older kids but they are 19 and 16 and I am having a hard time remembering what it was like at that age with them. I do know that it's pretty normal for kids to go through what you're talking about. I'm sure the teething can't be helping him any that's for sure. One big thing is no matter what be consistent with him...even if it feels like all you're saying for a while is no. Consistency is very very important with kids otherwise we end up confusing them and making things worse. They're always angels for other people aren't they?? We actually talked about this at a family education class recently. Kids save all of their "bad" behaviors for the people they feel safest with. Just like adults do as well. We all probably say things to our significant others that we'd never dream of saying to someone else. We yell, cry, scream, vent to them...there's no way we'd act like that to a complete stranger. It's the same with kids....if they go to daycare they've had a very long day and are probably tired. They let their guard down and we're the ones there to get the brunt of it. Hang in there...it does get better honestly. We're here to try to help and support each other so feel free to join us. No question is a dumb question.

ok ladies this has nothing to do with weight, but OT, how long do the terrible twos last?!?! my 15 month old angel has become a 15 month old maniac! he stopped sleeping through the night i wake up to him screaming bloody murder, although im passing this off as teething (he just got his top two molars last week and i think more are coming in) but i dont know if its crankiness from everything or terrible twos setting in but this child is CRAZY!!!!! when he plays with other kids he's normally really good, minus the random ripping toys out of their hands... ug, and adults think he's the best behaved kid ever. and day care loves him! but get him home, and he's throwing things and attacking the cat (who takes it) we he knows its not ok, he knows because we tell him sternly "no" or put him in time out and he has started coming back at us saying "no dada" or "no mama". is this normal? i just need some mommy advice on maybe how you ladies handled this if your kids became maniacs like mine! haha.

My Tues was fabulous! Sorry I didnt' get a chance to post anything at all yesterday. I only worked until 9:30am. My sister, Sadie, and I spent the day together...went for breakfast, ran to the realtors to sign some papers, went to the mall, then picked dh up at work and dropped he and Sadie off at home. My sister and I then went to dinner just the two of us. We also went to the broadway show Mama Mia!!! It was amazing...so much better than the movie. Thankfully the blizzard that was predicted turned into only 4 inches of snow and we got there noproblem. My sister is heading home today. We had a great 3 days of her being here. Sadie definitely will miss her spoiling her. I am working today then running up to the office after work to pick a few things up. Nothing else planned after that.....I was hoping to get some rest in since I stayed up way too late the last few nights with my sister.
Our inspection went fairly well. The furnace is a bit older as we knew so we asked to have that cleaned and inspected. There was an issue with some missing shingles on the roof....we asked for a roofer to come inspect and get those fixed. There was damage to the chimney and flu which we asked to have fixed. We haven't gotten a response to any of that yet. We're hoping it will all be done so we can move forward with packing and getting ready to move. The renters that were in there had pretty much moved out already so we could see things much better. It's an older house but overall it's in pretty good shape. The inspector was pretty impressed with the remodeling that has been done. It was built back in 1920. There was a few things we had already knew needed to be fixed and he already had them done before we got there. The garage door opener was working...heck I'm so excited to be able to park in the garage...especially in the winter.
Have a great day everyone!
