Well, we had plans to get our cat neutered this morning. Following the directions of the no food after 6pm was easy, I took the cat's bowl and put it in the closet in the guest room/office. The guest room (spare) is the cats "hiding spot" he can get away from Hunter. His food & cat box are in there. There is a kiddy-gate in the doorway, to keep out Hunter & the dogs, so they do not get into the cat's food & into the litter box as well.
Afer DH left to go & drop off the cat, I went in there to go clean the cat box & noticed that the closet door was open, I called DH in his cell phone & asked him if he had gotten into the closet this morning, while he was in there, on the computer, and he said no. I then told him that the door was open & that the cat must have opened up the door to get at his food during the night.
DH said he was going to call the vet (he had already dropped the cat off, of course).
He called back & said that he had to go & pick the cat back up, the vet would NOT touch him today.
We are re-scheduled for NEXT FRIDAY. UUUGGGHHHHHH
I will be smarter than the cat come next week. ALL of the food... even the bag, will be put into the garage!! Along with the dog's food!!!!!!!
UUGGHHH!!!!!!!! One more week!!!

It is just my sister & I. I have a 2 year old... who will be 3 soon.
And she has a set of twin boys, who are 3, will be 4,and another boy who will be 6.
Here's to hoping for a GIRL!!!!!!

I have a 2 year old.... and he is generally weel behaved, but he definately makes me crazy sometimes as well. Then when he is trying our patience, he will go to time-out, and if he re-offends, it is a spank on the butt, and Nose-In-The-Corner. Just to re-affirm, that the "PARENTS" are the parents. Period. We do not like being told no.
I am not sure about the waking in the night, for your son, with the screaming, but I know that Hunter has been waking through the night for several months, off & on. He will do a few things... either try & sneak up in bed with us, sleep near the bed on the floor (and we won't catch this one until we wake up, cause he is quiet!!) or he will wake up (not too often, but it does happen) crying, and then we just take him back to bed, and put him back to sleep, saying little to calm him down, but to reassure him, that we are there, and to not be scared. Saying "it is stil night-time, momma & daddy are still sleeping, go back to night-night"
My daycare lady says her kids were the same way, thay need comfort & go through stages. But to keep consistent.
