How did you tell the kids???

I am having WLS on March 14 and just trying to figure out how to tell my 7 and 3 yr old kids that I am going to be in the hospital for a few days. Any suggestions? And did you tell them what kind of surgery you were having? TIA, Jolie

Hey! I have three boys-11,7,5 and I told my kids that mommy was too fat and that was unhealthy.Then that there would be this surgery that would help her to be healthy again and be able to do more fun things with them. But with this surgery that I would be in the hospital and that I needed them to help me and daddy. We made a big deal about it and they were there when I had it and I saw them as soon as I got up. My docs even talked to them and told them that they were going to take extra good care of me just for them. I showed them my little scars and the bruises so they would be gentle around me and we had no problems. They are extremely proud of me now! It was the best thing I could have ever done!!!!!!!
