Amusement Parks - just you wait!!!
Hi!! I am still in the pre-testing stage, but I have already told my husband that we are hitting the amusement parks next year!! I have not been able to ride a roller coaster in soooo long!! I live in Ohio and have been to both Kings Island and Cedar Point within the last 5 years, and the only ride I could fit on was the log/water rides. I was so upset when I could not ride the thrill rides, but I half expected it. My husband was really trying to be encouraging and would point out other "larger" people on the rides. Unfortunately, I could not even sqeeze into the seat and had to sit out. I was pretty bummed the rest of the day until we did the log ride.... then we rode it like 6 times in a row. My step-son also cannot wait until we go to the parks next summer. He's already making a list of the roller coasters that he wants to ride with me!! I'm definitely taking a camera and will have either my husband or maybe even one of the park attendants take my picture in the coaster seat. I will probably cry through the whole ride. Just the thought of being able to lead a "normal" life without any restrictions makes me start to tear up.
Riding a rollercoaster post op was one of my biggest accomplishments and one of my most memorable moments post op. Pre op (320) I was actually asked to get OFF the rollercoaster because of my size, I couldn't be restrained properly. It was extremely embarrassing.
Have a wonderful, memorable time!
