PREG??Tubal w/Clamps after WLs

I had my tubes tied in sept of 2003 anyways just yesterday i found out that i have something called "wings" i have clamps on them. My doc said that if I EVER miss a period to get tested.. there is a chance of beging pregnant after tubal.... well then i went on to tell him i am having WLS (VBG) November 1st and he said that i am more then likey to miss a peirod or 3 but to test.. he said that with the weight loss it ups my changes of getting pregnat with the clamps.. so my question is has anyone ever exsperienced this??? Well, I had the same kind done in 2001. My ob explained that there is always a chance, but its pretty slim. Once the clamps are put on scar tissue builds up around them and further blocks the tubes so even if the clamps came off the scar tissue would still block anything from getting up the tubes. I would still use an alternate means of bc for the first year if thats a concern to all of you. My hubbys had a vasectomy and I recently had a hysterectomy so I guess I'm not really someone to go by lol! Is your ob the one that told you to get tested, or another doc? Ive missed several after I had it done and my ob was never concerned at all. He said its around a 1/1000 chance (dont qoite me on that, but it was pretty high) that the tubal with clamps would fail. Of course it never hurts to be extra careful, but chances are if its been this long scar tissue has closed those tubes up and you *should* be fine. Still test to make sure though. Like I said though, Im not a doc and am just going by my experience with this. Good luck!
