Freezing rain this morning!!!

Talk about a SKATING RINK!!!!  I did fine in my car, getting Hunter over to daycare.  But, my work van was another story!!!  I was going 10-12mph and slid sideways, trying to turn, and ended up on the sidewalk, almost slid into a parked vehicle at City Hall.  VERY, VERY slick!!!  It is supposed to turn to rain later this afternoon.  1/2 of the employees are not here & the construction and splicers are NOT going out on the roads today.  I have 2 more runs today, and my boss, who, by the way could not make it in due to the conditions, e-mailed us & said to wait until later this afternoon.  So, instead of 2 more runs, I will skip my mid-day at 10:00, and just do my 3pm one.  That will be much safer!!!
Believe it or not, the dumb-ass school districts have school in session!!!  How truely STUPID.

Glad you are ok Jamie!!   Scary having to drive on ice...I'll take snow any day over that.   We had sleet here all weekend too so it's not much better.   It has now turned to snow.  We're supposed to get 1-3 inches tonight and a pretty good sized storn on Wed.   I'm glad we aren't going far for Thanksgiving.  

Just trying to get some housework done tonight and maybe another hour of work but we'll see.  If not I'll have to work a couple of hours on Friday.   I would do it Wed evening but  I already have to flex time to take Sadie to the eye doctor.   Hopefully it will be soon we get glasses for her so she can see better.  

Just glad it's a short work week!!
