Wacky Wednesday!
Oh Court you sound like you need that get away really bad. I hope things calm down for you. I sooo understand the teenage stuff. My 20 yr old and her friends started some stuff last night but I decided to let it roll off my back. They are all adults and not my responsibility. I did however have to stop her when she was going to take some Mike's hard lemonade from the fridge with her. I was cranky last night...had a rough work day so I left Sadie home with daddy for a bit and went to the Y to work out. Wow...me work out instead of eat because of stress??? I think an alien took over my body. I'm going to relax this afternoon and evening and have fun outside with Sadie...probably a walk with her and the dog later to get a little exercise. No Y tonight. Tomorrow we will go again. Lots planned for the weekend as far as projects around the house so our Y times will be our getaway. It's spring break in the schools here so Sadie has no dance class today either.
Speaking of getaways....hubby asked me if he planned something for a surprise if I'd be willing to just get in the car and drive...he can't drive so he has to have me on board for that. Sometime in May is what he's saying. Although he says it's a day trip so nothing big. Will be fun to be surprised though. I'm just hoping it doesn't involve sports..
Have a great hump day!
Please tell me that being a parent to a teenager still will have reward, just different ones, I am guessing?
So, here is the latest update on my doc & shoulder. Went today to doc, it has been 4 weeks since I was referred to an orthopedic surgeon, saw him 4 weeks back, I asked for an MRI, and he was pretty much like, well, no, not yet, we will get you going on physical therapy & I will see you in 4-6 weeks.
So, I go in this morning, and I said "OK, it has been 2 months sice I have hurt my shoulder" and he replied, after reading over the note the physical therapist sent over on my progress with her (I have been going 3 times a week)... I have also had a 10 pound lifting restriction, so I have been working in accounting, since I am on light duty. He said "I thought you would have progressed more than this by now" (I am thinking to myself, NO **** SHERLOCK)
So, FINALLY, I have an order for an MRI. It is scheduled for Saturday morning, the first avaliable & I took it. Then back to the doc on the 16th for my follow-up to go over the MRI results.
So, there is my long-winded update. I have been very frustrated, I know that goes with the territory. Just glad FINALLY I have an order!!!!
We are going to be taking our vacation the end of next month & flying down to California to see DH's parents. The docs want to do a bone marrow transplant of sorts on his dad (he has bone cancer). I will keep you updated on that as well.
Since I am in accounting, I have ZERO privacy to be "screwing around" on the website, anywebsite, so, this is why you are only hearing from me about once a week, cause I have limited time to get on the computer at home, with daddy & Hunter.
Hope you Easter's were good!!! I have pics on a CD, now, I will just have to get some on my profile for you girls..... to be contiued!!!!
