Manic Monday!!!

Ok it definitely is a manic Monday....well probably a manic Mon-Thur for me this week.   I am really starting to get a big stressed about being ready for Christmas.   I'm looking forward to next week off but am right now wishing I was able to take this week instead!   I'm crossing my fingers hoping my hubby and big kids open their eyes and see what all needs to be done and help get it done.   I did get some presents wrapped last night so at least I'm making progress.   Only a few left to do.  I'm resorted to the one thing I was making not getting done this yr....so I'll be out to get a gift certif or two instead.  Only other thing I have left to get is to go to the grocery store to get a few things for dinner on Friday. 

We had a great weekend!!   The highlight was Sadie's picture and her letter to Santa Claus being in the Sunday paper here yesterday!   Friday we went to the lighting display and saw Santa Claus.....I think Sadie liked Rudolph as much as Santa.   Thankfully she only told him she wanted a dolly not the cow, monkey, cat, and baby she wrote in her letter LOL.  We then stopped and had a fun supper out just the 3 of us.  Sat I worked my 4 hrs of OT and then we got ready and took Sadie sledding on a really big hill.   Oh my did she love that!!!   She would've stayed all day if we could've.   First time down the hill momma was scared....Sadie said "it's ok mommy...those boys are nice!"   LOL I didn't tell her I wasn't afraid of the boys but the hill!!!  We had a really good time.   After sledding we went to dh's grandma's house and visited...Sadie had hot chocolate and a cookie....we sat and watched a Christmas movie with her.  She was very happy to have the company.  When we got home we had supper and cuddled up on the couch and watched a movie.  Sun we went to church had a big dinner there after church then headed up to my father in law's to start celebrating Christmas.    We did karaoke Christmas.....Sadie stole the show singing and dancing away.   I was starting to think maybe we should get her a karaoke machine for Christmas LOL.   We had a nice ham dinner and everyone opened one gift.....of course that was hard for the kids.   Sadie asked once for more but didn't complain when we said no.   She was happy with what she got and played with mommy and grandma.  It was a very good weekend all in all.

I am NOT working any OT this week...which means only 8 hr days woohoo.   I have Friday off as well.  Next week I only work 8 hrs on Monday then am off the rest of the week.  I am going to try to make my trip to the grocery store this afternoon to get the rest of the stuff for dinner on Friday.  Haven't even started to think of what I'll need for the dinner we're having on Sunday here ahhhhhh.   Oh well one dinner at a time LOL.

Morning Michelle!  We had a good weekend too.  We went to Nordstrom and stood in line for two hours to see Santa, but Dylan was very good and Shayla is always good.  Then we went to Build a bear workshop since Dylan had a gift card from his birthday in September!  He made a doggy and sissy got the cute little moose.  Then Sunday they went with Daddy to shop for Mom's presents! Yeah! 

I just finished up my Christmas Cards last night and hopefully I will get them all out today.  Then it is just finishing up the week at work and I am off!

Good Afternoon!!!  Been busy here as well.  Saturday, we were planning on going to my sister's house at 11:00 to celebrate my side of the family's Christmas..... Normally, we do that on Christmas Day, but my mom will be out of the state.  At 8:00am the power went off.  So, since there is no daylight, we were sitting around in the dark.  We had plenty of flashlights, since DH had went out on black friday & purchased a 6 pack that was on special at one of his favorite places to go & hang out..... yup, the hardware store!!  HA HA HA HA
So, anyways, my sister had a non-wireless phone, plugged it into her wall, and called DH on his cell phone (I have a terrible habit of leaving my cell phone in my purse, in the garage, and everyone knows... so they are all trained to call his number to get ahold of someone!!)
My sister did not have power either, and was just barely getting up & moving around her house with her 4 kids when the power went off at her house, so we made tenative plans for her house at 2:00.  But it might end up being at my house.... so, our power only ended up being out less that an hour & 1/2.  Her power was off for over 3 hours!!!  So, we all went over there at 2:00 and celebrated Christmas.  It was GREAT!!!!
Sunday was my "re-charge" day.  DH was working & so it was just me & Hunter.  When Hunter went down for his nap, I went down for one as well.  Gotta love that PMS!!!!!

Today is the shortest (5 hours & 28 minutes of daylight) day of the year, so, tomorrow..... slowly, we will start to gain daylight again.... a little bit at a time, in about a month or 6 weeks is when it will really start to make the difference!!!
