TGIF - yeah!!!!

Hey ladies how are you?  Good here.  Had another quiet night at home last night & early to bed for me.  Lots of stuff going on this weekend though.  Tonight will be Christmas shopping & regular errands after work, tomorrow is off to my dads for his bday celebration, Sunday will be helping my mom babysit the little ones so my syblings can do some Santa shopping.  Hope I get some down time with the hubby in there somewhere.  We are both off on Monday and plan to do a bunch more Christmas shopping then.

It was in the teens here last night temperature wise, supposed to be cold & windy today too.  I dressed extra warm for work.  We will have to redo part of our tree as the puppy chewed through the bottom strand of lights yesterday.  Our tree does look pretty funny since we have it all empty from about a foot down so he can't get the ornaments.

TGIF for sure!!   We had a good evening here last night.   Got the tree decorated finally.   Didn't do much else though.  Weekend is very busy here.   Tomorrow morning we have a caroling thing we do every year at a nursing home.   After that we head over to my Dr's house for a party for everyone involved.   We'll probably be there for an hr or two then it's off to do grocery shopping as I have to make a big pot of chili for church on Sunday.   I also want to get more cookies baked on Sat.   On Sun we're having a cookie bake and take after church service.   The women are staying to bake cookies and the men will head in and watch football after having chili for lunch.  Should be a fun afternoon.   Sadie is really looking forward to it cuz she gets to play with Becki all day....the girl who works in the nursery.    I'm thinking I'm bringing gingerbread men to make....but going to bake them at home and just bring the decorating part to do there.  DH's coworkers are bugging him about when I'm sending in my tray of cookies for them LOL.  They don't know me well or anything do they?   I love to make it but then send most of it out of the house so I can't eat it.    I really need to get busy and start wrapping gifts sometime too.  Not thinking it'll get done this weekend though.
 

Temp was about -10 this morning without the windchill.   I haven't pd attention to what the windchill was...all I know is the dog didn't want to go out at all!!  Glad I work from home on days like this.   Supposed to warm up a bit on Sunday but otherwise this is winter we might as well get used to it I guess.

Tonight is my companies kid's Christmas party, so, Hunter will get to play, see Santa and get his picture taken with him, get a present, do the cake walk & make an ornament for the Christmas tree.  So, it should be fun evening, and hopefully, it will tire Hunter out!!!!

It was 8 below this morning at my house, but no wind.  It is supposed to stay with low temps for a few more days here.  Been below zero since like Monday, but, it has been OK since there has been no wind.  Winter in Alaska.... gets cold, we just live with it & I for one, am THANKFUL that we are all happy, healthy, and employed.  Because, then we can stay warm & cozy.

Hi Ladies!!!!

Morning, morning.  Good night here last night.  It was Charlie''s (hubby) birthday!  We went and bought King Crab legs and Steak for dinner and then I wrapped the kidlets presents!!  Yeah.

Tonight we are going to go see Santa and I will finish up my shopping.  Just need a couple of gift cards and boxes to ship stuff.  I am on a roll. 

Tomorrow we are planning to drive up to Eagle River to check it out.  I am soooooo glad to be back in Alaska.  It just feels like home...:)
