It really is Friday this time!

Thankfully there's no more teasing!   It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!   And a long weekend at that.   I'm tired and having a hard time thinking that I have 10 hrs to go til this work day is over.   Oh but to think it's 3 off instead of 2 after it's over sure helps.

Last night since it was just Sadie and I we ran to McDonald's drive through and got her chicken nuggets, apples, and chocolate milk.   We then went across the street to the park and had a little picnic.  We had  blast.  We then ran to Walmart to get a few things we needed...forgot the bread...woops!   After Walmart we came home, took the dog out, brushed him, and played in the yard.  We came inside cleaned up Sadie's bedroom together.....got cleaned up and just relaxed watching Wow Wow Wubsy.    We had  a very good night together.

Tonight is who knows...maybe grocery shopping or maybe cleaning.   We found out yesterday that we're hosting the family bbq on Sunday.   Nice......now I have to clean LOL.   My husband's aunt and uncle will be coming, his dad, dad's girlfriend, girlfriend's daughter and family, his sister and her family and my sister and her friends will be around as well.  I have no clue what to make.   Any good ideas?   I'm thinking burgers on the grill maybe but I need some ideas for sides.   I'm tired of the same old potatoe salad.  Oh yes and the biggest reason it's at our house is because Grandma Ruth wants to come and we're the only ones with a big enough house that has the bathroom on the main floor. (in our case...on the only floor)

We also have to get organized big time this weekend.   DH and I are starting up a young families support group at our church and the first meeting is 2 wks from tomorrow.   We have no name for the group yet.   We have no plans for what we'll do yet LOL.   I need to shop for snacks etc... for the kids.  Oh and make posters for advertisements.  It WILL all come together LOL.

Monday I am relaxing...hopefully we can get in a bike ride even.   Wow I'll need that extra day just to relax.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Sounds like you will be having a wonderful weekend Michelle!  Baked beans, pasta salad, corn on the cob, chips, watermelon are all yummy things to have with burgers.

After getting home last night I worked on prepping the bathroom for the paint.  Hubby did dinner so I didn't feel rushed or pressured to get things done.  I am painting the girlies bathroom and the walls will be 5 different colors so it will probably take me at least 2 days to get it all done with the cutting in etc.  I am excited about how nice it will look though.  Was up early today to take the girlies to school and ran a few errands.  Now I am back home with my paint clothes on, gotta turn the music on and I am ready to start.  May tackle some other small projects this weekend depending on how the painting goes but plan to take some time to relax too.  Hope you all have a safe and happy weekend!!!

Michelle, even though you willbe the host of your family get-together..... Isn't it SO NICE to have the bigger house to do it in??!!??  I know that there is alot of work that goes into hosting the family-thing.... but, it gives me PRIDE and SATISFACTION to know that there is enough space for everyone!!!
Your and DH hosting a young families support group is AWSOME!!!!  And, yes, it will all come together!!  You are right on that.

Court, glad you got ahead of some of the prep work for painting the bathroom.  I think that the prep work is the most difficult!!!  But, that's just me.  Now that you have been moved in for a bit, how is your house coming together???? (painting project aside)

Sounds like my DH will be coming home today... empty handed.  He goes back to work on Sunday.  I am sure on hs day off, here & there, he will be out hunting, locally.  I think that I was MORE disappointed than he was last night, about no moose yet!!!  EVERY year, he has gotten a moose, since I have known him, like 7 years!!  So, this is new for me.  But..... moose hunting season IS NOT OVER YET!!!!!!

Have a wonderful 3-day weekend, ladies!!!
