Welcome, Jill.  Glad to see you post here.  I unfortunately cannot give you feedback on the surgery after kids question, but I am sure that someone might be able to halp with that.  I had my surgery before I had my child.
Glad you are almost finished up with your pre-surgery appointments, YAY!!!!!!

Got a surgery date yet??  Stick around on this boardm if you want.  I know it is slow, but the ladies here are nice.

Jill....so glad to see you posting here.    So far we're a small bunch of ladies but we are hoping more join us.   I can't say much about younger kids after surgery.   My kids were 12 and 14 when I had surgery.   I now have a 2 yr old as well.   I had my surgery 4 1/2 yrs ago.   I will say that the little bit of setback if any in playing with your 15 month old will be well worth it in the end.   I think about this every day as I play on the floor with my 2 yr old.   We go to a music class weekly and dance and crawl around on the floor.   I never would've been able to do this pre surgery.   Please feel free to ask any questions and stick around.   We're a good group of ladies.

Hi Jill & Welcome!  Can;t really answer your question either as I don't have any little ones.  I do have nieces & nephews so right after surgery it was a bit of a problem cause I couldn't hold or lift them.  I just showed them my big boo boo and would offer my hand when they wanted to be held.  It wasn't long before my energy was soaring and I was able to play so much more with the little ones.

hi ladies! thanks for responding! i am part of a mommy board too but im so happy to be part of this one as well. i only post while im at work because if im home and have free time id rather sleep!!! that was another question i had, having kids after surgery? i want more kids, i know i have to wait a year and thats fine (who has the money now anyway?!) but i want the surgery before i have more kids. being 5'3" and pregnant at 240lbs was hard enough, let alone now that im 20lbs heavier! but im afraid that if i get pregnant after the surgery that i will balloon right back up again.
sorry i have a ton of confusions and concerns. i know 3 people who had the surgery and one was very successful, another hardly, and the third was my 67 year old uncle who is 5ft tall 450lbs and was told he had to do it for life or death, he is down to 200, still heavy but healthy! i consider that a success!
