Happy Monday!

How was your weekend?  Mine was pretty great!!  Friday night is was finishing up the shopping.  Saturday I stayed home all day an did some baking.  Saturday night it was a dinner date with my bestie.  Yesterday it was a lazy morning of sleeping in, then off to get me an early Christmas present, got a new cell phone as I dropped & killed mine yesterday a.m.  Then it was off to my mom's for Christmas at her house.  As always what a crazy joy to watch all my nieces & nephews with their Christmas stuff.  Then it was home for a quiet evening of laundry & more baking.  Today is the Christmas party at work, work again tomorrow then I am off til the 5th.  Boy am I ready for it.  Hope you have a geat one!

Wow, what do you do for work, to get off until the 5th??  I am jealous!!!!  Except, of course that first day back to work!!  Glad you had a good weekend & good time at your mom's house.

We finished up our shopping Saturday afternoon, and got everything wrapped up.   So, we are as ready as we can be.  We are having hubby's (like 13 people) side over Wednesday evening, and then Thursday afternoon, we are heading over to my (like 9 people) sister's house.  I had to ask to get Friday off of work.  My daycare is closed...... it is an in-home daycare & she likes to try & spend that extra day with her own  family.  (and try to be off one week during the summer as well & I COMPLETELY respect & understand that) ...........So, since my husband works retail, and I KNOW  that he is going to have to be at work, I asked for the day off back in June.  So, I will be hanging out with Hunter.  He is going to have SO MUCH fun!!!!

Today, just work & a litlle relaxing, maybe??  Maybe???  OK, Hunter is up, time to get!!!!

I am with the state government so 5 1/2 days are actually holidays then I took another 2 1/2 days of leave so that I am off.  I try to do it every year and get a break.  :)

Well, my weekend wasn't fun but hey I'm finally feeling better!   My work computer crashed about 5:30am Thursday morning.   I spent all day Thur and most of Fri on the phone with the help desk trying to get it fixed.   Finally they decided I needed to bring it into the office and get a new PC.   I went into the office got a new one...it worked in the office.   I drove home...got rear ended in the snow on the way...nobody is hurt just my car's bumper.    Got it home hooked up and NO GO!!!   We tried to tell them it's not my pc now it has to be the modem....they don't listen just kept passing my problem on to someone else.   I was still sick as a dog all this time too.   I ended up going into the office for 5 hrs Sat morning to make up some of the time.   I got home from work and slept all day and night.   I still slept most of the day yesterday too.   Made a trip to the grocery store and it wore me right out.   Today I got up to still no computer.   At 9 am they told me I needed to bring it in again even though the guy in the office and I both knew there's nothing he could do to it.   Spent until about noon at the office then brought it home.   Called the helpdesk again and within  5 mins had it up and running.   Now if they would've listened to me telling them that I thought it was a firewall on Fri we'd have been up then.   Grrrrrrr    Oh well I can work my normal shift tomorrow and Wed and then I'm off till Monday.   I was supposed to be off Mon, Wed, and Thur next week but had to give back my 2 extra days as I used too many being sick Boooh!      I have a bit of wrapping yet to do and I'll be done.   Christmas Eve I'm making ham dinner here for just the 5 of us.   Thursday we're going to my MIL's for lasagna and to spend the day with my husband's family 10 of us.   Sat morning we are hosting my FIL and his girlfriend for brunch to celebrate with them.   I'm cooking eggbake, cheesey hashbrowns, fruit, and who knows what else.
