TGIW!

WooHoo it's finally Wednesday!   Why is it that these short weeks seem to go on forever?   I have to work 10 hrs today but it's not so bad knowing I have 4 days off after this.   We have 2 Thanksgiving dinners to go to...one tomorrow and one Sat.   Fri we'll be out shopping before the crack of dawn.  Other than that we hope to get some Christmas decorations out.  No other big plans.   Oh we are going to visit my husband's grandpa on our way Sat...he will be 93 yrs old Dec 9th.   We're also hoping to get some time in to talk CALMLY with my daughter about her decisions she's making.   Wish me luck!!

Michelle, I wish you LUCK!!!!  I understand that your daughter is an adult, but, man.  I am wishing you MORE LUCK!!!  And know in your heart that you have raised a leavelheaed daughter.

Good luck Michelle. I haven't read what exactly is going on with your daughter (I assume on the above it is your 18 y/o) but I have been there? Not as a parent but as the daughter trying to find her own path and not making the "right" choices. I will keep you in my thoughts but also her. I hope that as she tries to find happiness in her own way that she do so without compromising her future or having to live with regret. I had to grow up to fast (as you probably have read I had my oldest son a month after I turned 16) though hine sight is 20/20 I have accepted that the things that were the most struggle helped to make me the person I am today. Remeber one of my favorite quotes or sayings when you talk with her (again unless she is in danger or jepordizing (sp) situation) "just because we are on different paths doesn't mean I have gotten lost"   take care

Thank you so much for the words of wisdom.   I remember being her age and I was pregnant with her at the time so I do remember and am now thinking man my poor parents LOL.   I'm hoping she's not putting herself in danger but the possibility is there.   At least for today she's not.  All we can do is love her and be there for her.   Have a Happy Thanksgiving!   The pics of your family are wonderful.    I also have a 16 yr old boy that looks like a man.   When we go out with Sadie together everyone thinks he's my husband and Sadie's daddy LOL.   He really loves everyone thinking his mom is his wife hehehe.
