Happy Monday

Happy Monday!  How was your weekend?  My weekend was pretty fabulous!  Was pretty exhausted Friday but managed to make it out to dinner with a friend, then home to crash.  Saturday hubby & I headed out to my dad's for the last of my bday celebrations!  It is quite the joke that I have a birthday week instead of just a day.  I enjoyed the time with my family & special time with my niece.  Yesterday I was up and out the door with a friend to do some shopping for myself with bday $ I got from dad.  Got  lots of great clothes for work and a couple of pairs of jeans.  Then we headed over to the movies to see Twilight.  Finished up the day with a nice evening at home.  Hubby had stayed home & did the laundry and most of the cleaning so it looks like I will get a relatively easy week at home.

On the books for today is work, but I took the rest of the week off so I should be able to make it through one day!  We get the girlies tonight & tomorrow to make up some time cause they will be with their mom for the holiday weekend.  Have a few dr. appts myself this week, hubby has a dentist appt. and then it is family time on Wednesday & Thursday!  Friday will be some shopping for us.  Hope you have a great one!!!

Court, I am jealous!!!!  ONE DAY OF WORK, this week??!!  Have a FUN WEEK!!!!!!

I am working 3 days, then off for 4.  Not sure yet if hubby & I will be going shopping Tuesday night, or Friday morning.  We have decided to get the flat screen LCD 42" Sony Bravia.  And a new TV stand with a telescoping arm with a swivel.  So, this will be the the Christmas, b-day and mother's/father's day gifts to each other.  Possibly 2nd Anniversary as well.  The reason we went with the Sony is because we can get a DVD player that mounts directly to the back of it, so there is one less componant to see.  The cable that we currently have has a box that fits in the palm of your hand which is really NICE. 
And I have to say the best thing about getting the TV will be that we will be able to "flip" the livingroom around, and it will REALLY OPEN IT UP, so we will actually have way more room!!!!

But anyways, I am excited!!!!  We had Thanksgiving with my family yesterday at our house and then we will have Thanksgiving with DH's family on Thursday.

My husband is the same way! He doesn't just have a birthday he has a birthday weekend! Glad to hear you had a blast. Not sure if I will hit the black Friday sales yet or not doesn't seem to be anything advertised yet that is on my list of need to gets so we'll have to see.
Well since you will be off to enjoy the holiday after today I will take this time to wish you and yours a very Happy Turkey day from cold Kentucky! Hope to hear about your week when we are back on Monday. Take care

Happy Monday and Happy Turkey Day to you Court!   Wish I was only working 1 day LOL.   Oh well only 2 to go.  Actually I also have to put in 5 hrs of OT before the end of Wed.   Then I'll be off until Fri.   Jamie we're on our way up to look at tvs this afternoon.   We're looking at a 40" Sanyo something or other.   I've left that up to my husband....I've given my 2 cents worth and it just doesn't sink in to his brain.   I very rarely watch tv and he watches it all the time so he's the one that really needs to be happy with it.  We were going to wait until Fri to see if there was any good sales but it's not looking like anything better is going to be on sale so we might just go get it now.   Then we don't have to stand out and freeze to death either.   Of course I'll still be out there to get things at Walmart.   There's sweatshirts and jeans for $4 at Walmart for Sadie.   She's going to need some bigger sizes soon.  

I've had a very very stressful weekend and day.  My 18 yr old is causing lots of drama yet again with thinking she's in love with some 26 yr old from LA and he's moving here to live with her.   OMG I want to just scream.   Other than that we had a good weekend.   The church ceremony went well yesterday.   I have about 5 dozen peanut blossom cookies and 5 dozen sugar cookies made.   I won't be surprised if they don't make it to Christmas though...Sadie's a cookie monster just as much as her daddy and brother.   I did put most of them in the freezer though.  I have a cookie bake/exchange at church this Sun too.   I haven't baked for a few yrs but I actually enjoyed myself a lot while making them.   Just so I don't eat them now.
