Happy Labor Day (long)
When I pulled into the driveway Thursday after work, the truck was gone................ (the plan was for us to load up the camper & Friday after work, hop in & hit the road for our long, much anticipated trip.. ..at least in my mind..) I figured DH was getting it gassed up, or maybe getting it a MUCH needed bath from all that hunting, it was FILTHY. But, that was not the case. His buddy shot a moose & he was on his way out there to help him quarter it out & bring it back to our house/garage, to get all cut up. So, DH had shot one last Sunday, with his buddy there & they spent all day in our garage getting that one ready for the freezer (so each one of them got 1/2 of the moose). Now DH's buddy shot one & each one of them got 1/2 of this one.
So the good news is that we now have a WHOLE moose in our freezer for the winter, but........ no camping this weekend. I am a little bummed.................... But I COMPLETELY understand that all winter long, I will be fed. And, in the next couple of weeks, we are planning on going on one last trip!!!
I can handle that!!!
So, all I have done all weekend is work off & on in the office/guest bedroom...... and IT LOOKS AWSOME!!!!!!!!!
That was the room I would walk into, look at it & turn around & just walk back out!!!! (what a PILE of work!!)
So, I have a sense of accomplishment!!
