Second Interview Tomorrow (7/8)

Last Wednesday I had an interview with the supervisor of the contracting company who supports a different group of government people on the base I work at. Well he called, actually sent me a text message, Sunday night asking if I would be available to come over to his building either Tuesday or Wednesday to meet with the government guys. So of course I texted him back and said I would love to either day. I thought it was funny that he sent me a text. Goes to show how strange this contracting/government world is. Most people get a phone call to set up an interview, I get a text. LOL He called me today and asked if tomorrow at 10:30 would work for me. I said not a problem. So tomorrow (Tuesday 7/8) I'm going to go meet with the government guys. This should be the final step before I know if I get the job or not. My old government sponsor was at the base last Thursday and said he heard I was talking to them about a job. He told me that if I needed him to make a phone call to just let him know. I've known this man (old government sponsor) for years and he is wonderful plus the fact that he knows everyone in the world helps a little too. LOL This new job will be sooo nice. It will be with a different company (a plus), different government people (another plus), more pay with a lot less stress (big big plus). The position I'm in right now I'm basically running the program which is good if I was actually getting paid for all that I do. Don't get me wrong, I'm truly thankful for the experience and what I have learned at my current job but the position is going nowhere and the funding we get from HQ in San Diego for the program is being cut for FY09. I told the government sponsor I currently support that I wasn't the captain and I wasn't going down with the ship... LOL She is the most supportive person, I've loved supporting her and we have become really good friends which in this business is frowned upon. This whole government contracting business is very interesting and confusing but it's really good pay. We say all the time that if you're a sane person then you would not be working with the government and if something makes sense then it won't happen. LOL I must love the craziness since I've been doing it for the past 10 years. Anyway, didn't mean for this to turn into a book. I'm just really excited about the possibility of a new adventure. Please keep me in your prayers. If it's meant to happen it will. I'll update as soon as I can after the interview. Hugs Teresa

Hey Michelle! Thank you so much! I just posted an update and I have such a good feeling about this. How are you doing? I've been reading your updates on Baby Levi over on the preggo board. I say a prayer for Levi daily. I can't say that I know what you and your family are going through but I do know that God has His arms wrapped tight around this precious little baby. He is also with you and your family. I've been praying for Mike and Steph as well. This has to be very trying on their relationship.
