Interview Tomorrow (Wednesday 7/2/08)!!!!
I posted about a week or so ago that I had a lead on a pretty promising job. Well the supervisor and I were playing phone tag yesterday but I finally got a hold of him this morning. Since he works on base also it's making it really easy for us to meet. So we are scheduled for 11:00 Wednesday morning! I'm really excited but trying not to get my hopes up to much. I've been in this buisness long enough to know anything could happen. My former government sponsor was in town yesterday and stopped by my desk. I told him about this job and he said he knows some of the government guys in that building and on the program. He made a comment about giving one of them a call. I don't know if he did or not but I know about 2 hours after he left my desk the guy called me. Please say a prayer for me in the morning. I'm not really nervous because some of the government people that work where I'm interviewing I already know and have worked with in one way or another. I'm more nervous about not getting it. Working for the government makes for a very *interesting* career but it is really good pay and benifits.
I'll let you guys know how it goes tomorrow afternoon.
Hugs
Teresa
The remodeling is going pretty good. The new tile for the bathroom floor is down but I got a lovely surprise (NOT) when I got home tonight of no toilet. This would have been nice to know before I got home so I could have gone straight over to my MIL with Sarah. It takes at least 45 minutes to get home from daycare so I usually head straight to the bathroom as soon as I get home. Well, not tonight. Oh well, I made it over to my MIL house in time.. LOL Thank God she only lives 2 minutes from my house. My BIL should be coming back over any time now to put the toilet back. He had to wait for the tile to set and dry. Tomorrow he is going to grout the floor and then tear out the tile from the shower floor and re-do that. This is one of the things that sucks about having such a small house; we only have one bathroom and only have a standup shower (no bathtub). I would give anything to have a bathtub again. When I tell people that I haven't taken a bath in 4 years they kind of look at me funny... LOL
