A little info about converting the board

Holla everyone, I know there has been some interest in converting this board over to the same format the main board uses. There is a one reason in particular that we are not moving this board (and quite a few of our older boards) over to the new version. We will be releasing a Groups system to the community pretty soon allowing members to start their own groups and/or messagebaords. This will provide you far more control over what is happening on the board versus just using the messageboards we provide you. In addition to the new messageboard format associated with Groups, you will also have access to a group blog, photo uploads, calendar, chat room, member list, group invites and a few other nifty little features. OH come on, what fun is it if you actually know when something is being released? Just kidding.... While I can't really give you a firm date, it would great to see it open to the public within in the next couple of months. No promises of course, but it has essentially been in beta with our support group leaders for quite some time now. I am looking forward to it as much as anyone and think it will be a great addition to the community. Sorry I can't answer your question conclusively but web development and timelines are often a bit fluid. Let me know if you need anything else.

I guess the answer of '...within the next couple of months' is acceptable for now. I however, cannot promise that you will not have half a dozen very upset mommies on your doorstep if we don't see anything by the end of summer... Seriously though, I completely understand the world of web development and timelines. We really do appreciate you taking the time to let us know what is going on. One other question regarding the new changes coming down the pipeline.... Will this new 'Groups System' take the place of our message boards or is this going to be an added feature to OH? Teresa
