Tuesday Roll Call
Hey, playing hooky is good for your mental health!
I am here, but a bit of a zombie. Hubby and I went to see James Taylor last night in Kansas City. We didn't get back home til about midnight. I skipped my morning run today in favor of an extra hour of sleep! Things will be slower here this week, hopefully I can manage to stay awake! The show was really good...I wasn't really looking forward to going, Keith really wanted to go. But it was actually a pretty good show. It was at an outdoor theatre, which the weather was PERFECT, just a *****illy. Of course it had RAINED and RAINED this weekend, so the parking lot was atrocious with mud. Never so happy to see the inside of my car!
Morning All!! We stayed home last night....bbqd and had dinner out on the deck. We played in the front yard with Sadie.....came in to bathtime and bed. It was a nice relaxing night. Tonight is softball night so will be fun as well. Well, it's not as much fun for me chasing Sadie while they all play but it'll be good to be outside.
Good Afternoon All!.... Nothing exciting going on here except trying to deal with this heat. We have had a heat index between 100 - 112 since the end part of last week. Poor babies can't even go outside and play because there has been a heat advisory out. There is suppose to be a front coming through tonight and should cool things down to the lower 80's for tomorrow. I think I need to go visit Jamie & Hunter until this heat passes... LOL
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Hugs

Wow maybe we can combine our temp and yours today and both be comfortable. I'm sitting here freezing. My hubby put away my portable heater this weekend or I'd be sitting here with that on. I think it's in the 50's right now...probably about 56 or so and rainy. Sadie wants to go Side soooo bad....she knows rain though so once I say it's raining she'll find something else to do. Well....I guess that something else has been telling me all morning "I need bath"!! Silly girl!
After these last few days I would love temps in the 50's. Lately I've had to tell Sarah she can't go outside because it's too hot. She now looks at me, points outside and says 'Sun hot'. It's so funny because I never said anything about the sun being hot just that it was hot outside. I can only guess she heard that at school. But she is the same as Sadie, If I tell her it's raining she will say 'Rain', nod her head and find something else to do. These little ones just crack me up.
I will gladly send you 20 degrees of our heat... LOL I just walked outside for a second and couldn't wait to get back in. When I went on weather.com around 2:30 EST and put in the zip code for my house it said it was 98 degress but felt like 102! I hope this is no indication of what this summer is going to be like.... if so I'm moving up there with you... LOL
Hugs
