Jen... ? about your DHs Fibro

Hey Jen, Is your DH taking any meds for his Fibro? At my appointment yesterday my doc gave me a prescription for Lyrica which was just recently approved for Fibro. I've read some really good reviews about it but most people also say that it causes a great deal of weight gain. I feel like I have to pick between the lesser of 2 evils. I agreed to try it for one month to see how things go. I was just wondering if your DH was taking this or something else and how he was doing. Hugs Teresa

Hey there pretty lady!! They did just give him the Lyrica...He started it the other day, he says he isnt feeling anything yet..But I will keep you posted!! How are you feeling? Huggs Jen

Hey Jen, I started my Lyrica last Friday. I take 1 75mg twice a day. So far I'm still having to take it with the vicodin to really help with the pain but I have notice I don't feel as drained and exhausted in the mornings. My biggest concern is hearing that it causes weight gain. I talked to Marsha last night and she said she was taking Lyrica also. She said it really helped but she did gain like 20 -25 pounds while on it. Of course she was on a higher dosage then me. I'm not sure if my doc is starting me off on a low dosage so my body can get use to it or not. I told her (my doc) I would try in for a month and see what happens. I'll keep you posted.
