Vacation Update
Sorry it took me all week to get something posted.....I've been in training all week for work so I haven't been able to get on much. It's going well....i was dreading this training but so far it's been good.....I'm scared....this stuff is actually somewhat making sense to me. I'm learning to pay insurance claims for facilities...before I was just processing physician claims.
Ok, on to vacation. We left here last Wed at 2 am....we arrived in Omaha at noon. Sadie was an angel in the car. She woke up for about an hour at 5am when we stopped for gas before crossing the MN/IA border. She then fell back asleep and slept until about 7:30 so we stopped at a rest stop for about 15 mins to change her and get her dressed. We stopped for breakfast at around 8:30am....we found a park to let her out to run and play. We didn't stop again until we were at our hotel. She was soooo good. The hotel we had in Omaha was beautiful. Sadie loved the swimming pool of course. We did a bit of sightseeing on Wed afternoon and then just hung out in the hotel for the evening. Thursday we spent the whole day at the AMAZING zoo in Omaha. Wow it was great!!! We all enjoyed the whole thing...soo many animals and great exhibits. Sadie's favorites were the monkeys and fish. She did wonderful there as well.....we stopped in the gift shop on our way out and looked down when I was paying.....she was sound asleep in the stroller. She slept the next hour and a half all the way to my husband's aunt and uncle's house. It took her about 5 minutes to warm up to them and then it was no time for mom and dad....auntie and uncle were more fun. They spoiled her rotten all week. My 15 yr old son had a great time as well. Once we were at their house we didn't do much other than just sit around and relax. That was the best part....so really I wasn't too tired from vacation because we spent most of it just resting. It was nice to have someone else cook for me for a change. The first night they had gotten pizza right before we arrived, Fri night he cooked NY strip steaks on the grill Yummmy, then Sat night we had wild turkey that he had shot then cooked it in the turkey fryer. Wow that turkey was good. Sun we all went out to a mexican restaurant for dinner before heading on the road. That was the worst part of the trip....Sadie cried for like 20 mins in the car....we got to our hotel we stayed at that night and realized she had a dirty diaper...no wonder she cried. That hotel was kinda icky but not too bad.....just not as nice as the 1st one. We drove Mon morning to my sisters to see my new great nephew.....that was sooo fun. We got back home around 5:30pm on Monday night. Sadie was great the rest of the ride too. She learned so much on this trip....lots of new animals. We were having breakfast the last morning and a little boy was sitting in a high chair at the table next to us she looked at him and said, "hi darlin".........we had to stop and think.....hey auntie mary called her darlin a lot LOL. Sadie is having a really hard time to adjusting this week.......daycare says she's been very different...lots of whining and crying. Well, she went from only going 1/2 days before vacation to going full days now while I'm training plus she had mommy, daddy, brother, auntie, and uncle to spend time with her for a whole week. Hopefully next week will be better. I'll try to find some time to upload a few pics to my profile this weekend to show off our fun time.
Thanks for asking about it.

Sounds like everyone had a great time. Poor Sadie, so spoiled and now back to daycare. She'll get back in routine again. I still have to spend time getting my kids back to normal after visiting their grandparents too and they are 6 and 11. They get all that one-on-one attention and spoiling and just wi**** would keep going once they get home. Glad you had a chance to relax. I swear I never got that when my kids were little. Always felt like I spent the whole vacation chasing them. Now YOU have to get used to being back to normal. Bet it's a much of a let down for you as for Sadie.
