TGIF........The first day of the holiday weekend!!!!!!!

Well it has been a while since I've posted and wanted to wish everyone a wonderful holiday weekend. I was sick for about a week and now busy trying to play catch up. I have been checking in on the board but just really no time to post. Any big plans for this weekend? If your family is like mine we celebrate the ENTIRE weekend and it starts on Friday night! For example most people celebrate their birthday, my husbands family celebrate their birthday weekend! lol Plans are never anything elegant just lots of BBQ and time spent together with family and friends. Happy Friday...We are starting 1 of 3 cookouts tomorrow also...We are doing one set of friends tomorrow, than another set of friends on Sunday, and than Family on Monday...I told Johnny that I thought we should cancel, and his exact words were..AINT NO WAY IN HELL WE ARE GONNA CANCEL....He keeps telling me I need it, so I am going to listen....I will post tons of pics on Monday! He's a smart man that hubby of yours! No more tears today. Remember that the breathes you take are not guaranteed so make the most of the ones you get. Enjoy hearing the laughter and seeing the smiles of them babies and the man you've entrust your life with each and everyday and especially on the hard days. A really good friend once told me that "Depression is not an option" and she was right. I gave up alot of years to that **** Take your time working through all the emotions but fight that depression like hell. I can't wait to see the pics on Tuesday! -JoAnn

Sounds like you both have fun weekends planned. Jen you do need to do this....sit back and relax and try to have a bit of fun. Glad to see you back here we all missed you lots!!! We're BBQing with my husband's family on Sun...tomorrow I am working 4 hrs then going to try to get some houswork done. We plan on spending the rest of the day with Sadie outside etc.... I still have so much to do to catch up from vacation. Monday we are hoping to just relax and bbq as a family. Sunday is also graduation recognition at church and my oldest graduating so that should be fun as well. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend. Michelle

It is sad when you have to come home from vacation to get a break! It works like that for me even on the weekends. I come back to work on Monday just to relax. lol Enjoy your time with hubby and family. You can use the excuse I always use and that is that the house will still be dirty tomorrow! It usually works until the filth and clutter ****** me off. lol -JoAnn

Hey JoAnn.... I glad to hear your feeling better. Seems like so many have been sick lately. No big plans here. DH and his brother are leaving Sunday to go to the Sunday night race in Charlotte and spending the night so it's just going to be me and baby girl Sunday and Monday. I really can't complain because they were supposed to go to the race in Richmond on May 3 but we had to go to Charleston SC for my sister's wedding. DH had already promised her that he would video tape the wedding for her. Sarah and I are going to a baby shower for one of her teachers at daycare Saturday but nothing else planned. Anyone want to have me and a 2 year old (whom you've never met) over for a BBQ??? LOL I was thinking about sending a pm to Andrea U over on the preggo board and asking if she wanted to get together since she is only a few hours away. I decided against it because she probably has no idea who I am (since I don't really post over there any more) and would probably think I'm a freak. You probably have better weather than we do in NoKY even though I think it's gonna be nice this weekend how bout I pack up a bunch of BBQ and come to you! lol actually all jokes aside if we were closer it would be my pleasure to have you and your daughter as company. Though I have never met you I wouldn't picture you a freak, and trust that I have alot of them to compare to in my "real" world! Well I started off the morning with no plans for the weekend and not sure what we were going to do. The girlies will be with their mom so it will just be hubby & me. Now we have plans!!!! Tonight & tomorrow night will probably just be some us time. Tomorrow during the day while hubby is working, I will probably lay out & get some sun, have plans in the a.m. with a friend, and will be cooking a bit for the cookouts we will be attending on Sunday (with hubby's family) and Monday (with my family). But was also have some down time in all of that so that we can relax! Have a great one!!!

Oh, the joys of working in the retail world..... My husband gets to work all the holidays, or at least the days leading up to the holiday!!!! Sounds like I will be chasing Hunter & unpacking all weekend. Tomorrow from 4-6, we are having his birthday party, so we should all get a chance to see family & watch Hunter play!!! It has been an amzing 2 years since he entered our lives!! -Jamie
