How much does your child eat?

Mallory will be 6 months old on 4/9... she has been having stage 1 foods since 4 months.. What does your childs average diet look like for a day? I give Mallory bottles.. then fruit in the morning and veggies at dinner time... Should I be giving her stage 1 foods 3 times a day? Thanks, B

Beckie, Sadie will be 6 months on 4/27 so just about 3 wks behind Mallory. She's having bottles throughout the day and cereal and fruit or veggies in the morning and evening. Sounds like she's eating about the same as Mallory. I think it'll be a while before Sadie starts anything for that 3rd time a day. She fights us when she drinks her formula and I think adding more food would only make it worse.

Dang I don't know if I remember...I think at that age I was trying to give her a little of some type of baby food at each meal, you know, just to get her used to eating period. She is now doing about 2 jars at each meal, sometimes more, sometimes less. But she is 9mos. Usually she will a do a small bottle between times. Sometimes not. Personally I would try a bit of something at each meal. Valena

I have a chart which I got from Gerber (maybe their website would have something about the chart on it) I think it is informative!!! I also got a chart from WIC. Both of these charts give me an idea when Hunter should be going up in his stages of food as well as decreasing (slowly) his formula. He is just about 11 months. I hope you can get your hands on a chart, having a visual aide for us to refer to REALLY helps us!!!!! -Jamie
