Hello everyone. I started Mallory on Stage 1 foods as of last Friday. So far, we have tried Carrots and peas. However.. BOTH made her extremely gassy. Last night she woke up SCREAMING... then she burped a little burp and tooted (tmi) and went to sleep. What do you guys do for your kids when this happens? So far she has had one jar of each (over the course of 3 days for each kind). We are still on the trial part. Thanks, Beckie

Hey Beckie, You might try some sweet potatoes as that is what I used with both my kids and they didn't get too gassy. Also, try mixing it with some baby cereal and see if that helps. Sometimes they need a little help with digestion. If that doesnt' work, there is a product called little tummys that helps with gas pain. Or there are gas drops if it gets really bad. Good luck, Heather B

Hey there!! I KNOW what you mean!!!! When we introduced Hunter to "food" he got VERY gassy!!! Since it is new to his body, it took him a few days to get used to it. We have used baby gas-X in Hunter's bottles since we swithched from the breast. Mark had talked to the pharmacist and the doctor about it & they BOTH are for it. We use the generic form (ask a pharmacist, if you have questions) the main ingredient is simethacone. It is about $2.00 to $3.00 a box. Just trying new foods will get the baby gassy, just my experience with Hunter. Good Luck!!!!!! -Jamie
