Introducing myself!

I will take the cue from my good buddy Heather and introduce myself. I am Amy, 30 years YOUNG LOL, mommy to the most adorable boy in my world - Gabriel. I had surgery (open RNY) on 12/13/04 and in February of 2005 I started feeling weird, took a pregnancy test and sure enough I was pregnant! I got pregnant one month post op! I did fine but was scared! I was high risk b/c of being diabetic and having had a miscarriage in the past. I did fine throughout my pregnancy with the support of the post op pregnancy board and then I had my beautiful bouncing baby boy on 10/24/05 via scheduled c-section (due to his size). He was 11.4 lbs and 21.5 inches long. He is now a very active 14 month old (as of today) who just started walking on his own and is loving it. He has a temper too, what a stinker! I'm also in Nursing school and am due to graduate in July of 2007.

I never realized we had our surgeries only 1 day apart. We both are diabetics also. I guess this whole getting to know me is a great idea even for those that we thought we kind of knew. Wow July really isn't that far away. Soon you will be a full blown nurse. Michelle

Hello there!!! I cannot believe that Gabe is already 14 months!!! I remember just barely coming onto the pregnancy board & you being in the last days of your pregnancy!!!! WOW how time FLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! July is soooooo close, compared to when you started, you are on the down-hill slide!!!! YAY!!!!!!!! Glad to see you here!!
