CPR on the board!
Ok ladies (and gents if there are any!), lets get this board moving... on the pregnancy board someone had a great idea of having a weekly "baby talk" post. Why don't we do that here too. Let us know whats going on with your kidlets from "their" words! Let's have this be a weekly post, maybe Mondays???
On another note, what are your kids going to be for halloween? Is halloween candy a problem for you at your house? Do you buy stuff to give out? Do you buy your favorites or things you don't like anyway? Does the candy isle send you evil messages when you're in the store for good healthy food.? lol.... How much candy do you allow your child to eat, and how often? I read somewhere that in one family the kids can pick x amount of candy and then "donate" the rest for money or other incentives. Anyone do anything like that?
Kaden will either be a lion or a pumpkin, maybe both. I doubt we'll be going trick-or-treating with him, so getting candy and having it around won't be a problem. We usually buy stuff we don't like to hand out (ie. NOT chocolate!). That way, its not as tempting. I loved candy, but mostly stay away from it now. It does call to me when I walk past those darn stupid big bags of hersheys and recees. I think once he's old enough to eat and want candy we'll do that idea or something like it. Maybe let him pick 10 or so that he wants then give him like five cents for each other piece. I've heard of others who let the kids eat all they want on halloween night, then pick a few to keep in lunches or whatever, then throw the rest away. Who knows, we're a long way from that. All I know is that as a teacher, I HATE November 1. (I think it should be a required inservice day, if there were such a thing anymore!) This year will be a little better though, because thats the day our TV show airs! Ok, so anyone want to play "baby talk" with me?!

Donna,
I love Halloweeen but hate the candy part. It's way too tempting. I usually don't buy anything to hand out until the last minute so it's in the house less time. My other kids are too old to trick or treat now so that's a plus. The candy aisle at the store, the vending machine at work....whatever all call my name constantly. I used to let my kids have a few pieces Halloween night then limit them to a couple of pieces after school each day. I am hoping I'm not in the hospital so I can see your show. What channels does it air on...i sure hope it's one we get up here. I'd love to play baby talk but as of today we have 17 more days to wait till Miss Sadie arrives unless she's listening to her mommy when I beg her to come any time now. Soon it's time to give her the old eviction notice. I have another non stress test Thur and see my dr's partner on Fri....of course my Dr is out of town from Thur till Mon and so is the girl that will cover for me at work so maybe just maybe she'll make her appearance this weekend.
I'll join in on baby talk as soon as we have our baby !!!!

LOL You're a nut Donna!
I'll bite... the monster is in bed and I have a few minutes free.
Danny is gonna be a cowboy for Halloween... it sorta goes with his birthday theme because I want to send the pics as thank you cards. Halloween isn't a problem anymore because I buy stuff I hate to eat and I bag it all up in those little paper Halloween bags and staple them shut! LOL. I do buy something "non candy" to put in the bags too... this year its little playdoh canisters. Last year it was Halloween pencils. The candy aisle is my worse nightmare but I've been good... I bought sugar free twizzlers the other day and they taste just like the regular Last pregnancy I craved salt, this time its sugar (I hope that means girl! LOL) We are going to my sisters house in NY to trick or treat this year. Its just easier to do her neighborhood and with my nieces, Danny will have a blast. Gotta make a stop off at my moms house too so she can see the boy. He's just starting to walk but I think I'll keep him in the carriage anyway that day.
Have a great night-

Yeah so she is only 4 months old but I just couldn't resist! The daycare lady is taking the kids to the mall during the day that day for an indoor trick or treat. We will probably just take her to some family members' and friend's houses for pictures and laughs.
