Thank You for rice cereal
Last night at Hunter's 7pm bedtime, I put rice cereal in his bottle & he slept 9 hours SOLID!! From 7pm to 4am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have not had that much sleep uninterupted since mid-May..... Before he was born!!
I am happy that he slept so good!!
My next goal in the next month is to be putting him in his crib to sleep. Since his room is on another floor, I have been hesitant. We have a monitor, and now I feel he is old enough, and the cereal will definately help!!!!!
The waether today is gray, rainy & 45 above at 8:30am.

I was thinking of trying the rice cereal with Mallory. The ped said to wait until she is 4 mos, she is only 3 mos. But lots of other people I know have done it with success. Not because of her sleeping though, I just think sometimes she seems awfully hungry! I want to put her bassinet in her room (long story, her crib is missing some pieces we can't find so it isn't safe yet!) but hubby looked at me like I'm crazy! He's such a softie! How much do you use? I thought somewhere I read like a tsp for 4oz of formula?

Valena-
Hunter turned 4 months on the 21st. I went to a wic appointment and they gave me a brochure of when you should start your child on the road to food. It says every child is different.
As for the use, you are 100% right. 1 tsp per 4oz formula. I had to switch up to the fast-flo nipples (stage 2) now, the cereal was clogging my other 1st stage nipples.
Hope this info helps!!

Ya, I really thought I was dreaming too!!! I did wake up a few times, but I did not get up out of bed, and it was really easy to fall back asleep! It has been HEAVEN to get rest!!!!!!! I feel so much better!! LESS "STRESSED" to say the least.
ok, so are you having boys or girls?? or a boy & a girl? My sister has a son named Joshua, he is 3 now, then she got pregnant again, and had twin boys, Joel & Jonathan. (Twins run in our family) Their birthday is May 26th. Hunter was born on May 21st, right before their 1st birthday. We live 10 miles apart, so Hunter will have his boy cousins to play with!!
