Jackson's 9 month Appt Update
Well we went to the new Doctor yesterday and here are his stats (by the way I love his new doctor) He is 17 lbs and 27 1/2 inches long, his head is measuring 17 inches which is just 2 inches short of lories baby that was born on Monday Poor girl. His cold is just a cold and they can't do anything for him. He didn't get any shots but he got something worse...they took blood to test his hemaglobin (sp?) and test for lead. That consisted of *****ing his finger and squeezing blood out for 15 minutes. Lets just say, Jackson wasn't impressed. Jacksons new doctor was fine with me giving him table food and a little milk as long as he gets at least 24 oz of formula. He said the formula is sooooo important because regular milk has no iron and he needs the iron right now because he is in rapid growth mode. I was also worried about peanut butter crackers cause so many people have peanut butter allergies and he said go ahead and try them. He said really only 5 % of people actually have a peanut allergy and that risk is lower if no one in your family has that alergy. When I was there Jackson was drinking apple juice and he said just want to let you know all that is giving him is sugar. I said yeah he doesn't get much juice but right now it is for fluids cause he isn't drinking his formula very well with a clogged nose, he said thats ok as long as you don't give him juice toooooo much. But if your trying to get fluids in, then I am ok with that. So there is the update!! Jackson puked 2 times this morning, I think because of his nose draining backwards, I am going to try to leave work a little early to go get him. His nose is still very nasty :_(
