Boy am I tired, last night was rough. Jackson has a really bad runny nose with a very little cough. I hated the way he sounded when he went to sleep so worry wart mommy decided to sleep on the floor next to his bed. Well lets just say at 1 I woke up to him giggling in my face, pulling my hair...lol I finally got him back to sleep and went to my own bed. Today is his 9 month appt, I will update after that. Oh and what can I do for him for a sore nose from wiping it? Vasaline?? Jess

Morning Jess and everyone! Sorry to hear Jackson isn't feeling well. It's no fun having sick kids. As for his nose vaseline might help or even just any regular lotion...i've also used like a carmex or something that we use for chapped lips. Just a thought. Wow can't believ he's 9 months already. Time sure does fly. Not much going on here today except working till noon then spending the rest of the day at the hospital with my daughter. They've discontinued anything by mouth again on her so they can get some more tests in today. I'm still waiting for a call from the Dr so I'm not sure exactly what the plan is. My husband works there so I'm going to see if he'll take a jaunt over to the Dr's office and have a chat to see what they think. Thank God tomorrow is Friday...have a good one everybody!! Michelle

What a little turd, I could just picture him...you trying to rest and him laughing and pulling your hair! Well maybe at least that is a sign that he is starting to feel better?! I don't know, when my nose is sore when I'm sick and it's from blowing my nose all the time I just keep it lotioned up. Valena Mommy to Mallory Jade, 3 mos old today!

Mornin Jess- Busy day today. We have Gymboree which is always a blast. Danny is the most advanced in the class and he plows through all the other kids, toppling kids left and right. He crawls so fast that Miss Angela (his "teacher") says he's a blur from the second I put him down and she's always talking to the back of him. You can always tell where he's been... just follow the cries! LOL I need to buy this baby a winter wardrobe. I've been adding to it in bits and pieces but it's getting so cold and I'm no way prepared for it. I bought a bunch of sweats at Wallyworld the other day ($4 something a pair!!! Whoop!!!) Great for playclothes and perfect for gymboree. I have a huge complaint about clothes for him. The 24 mo pants fits him in the waist but not the length. He's trying to walk and tripping himself up with the hems (even after I roll the cuffs up two or three times!) The 18 mos are tight in the waist but fit the length perfectly. Forget jeans, I have to get him 2T for the waist but they are soooo long. The 18 mo sweats fit him like a dream but I can't put him in sweats all the time... or can I??? I'm also looking for the perfect birthday outfit. I don't want him looking dorky but dressed up. (no ties... that would be dorky! LOL) Poor Jackson. I used a little vaseline when danny's nose was chapped and it worked a little. Hope it works for him! I saw in a parent magazine that triametic (sp?) is now making those strips you put in your mouth (think those listerine breath strips) for infants!!! How cool is that? No more force feeding droppers of staining meds... just pop one on thier tongue and they dissolve fast. I think they had stuffy nose formula and a cold formula. I'll be looking for them. Can't wait to hear how big he officially got! -Janine

I am having a hard time with Jacksons clothes too. Most 12 month stuff fits him pretty good but some are to big and some are to small. I am expecting to have to do a whole nother wardrobe switch around december to move him up to 18 month. I guess they will make good Christmas presents...lol Along with lots of toy too. Jess

I would do the vaseline, definitely. As for the runny nose itself, my nurse just told us about Rescon GG (OTC but you ask the pharmacist for it). It isn't cheap, $14 a bottle, but man, after a week of chasing him around w/ the tissues, 2 days of this and it was cleared up. It's an expectorant so it gets a little worse before it gets better but still, I swear by this stuff now. Worked for us. I had tried Benadryl and Triaminic to no avail. Let us know about the 9 month check-up. I always love to hear how big and healthy these babies are. Khaki Kyan 07/14/05 EDD Twins 04/15/07

Hey Jess, How are you doing? I see Jackson is just growing and growing. WoW he has 8 teeth, Missy has only 2. She is standing on her own and walking around the furniture. I'm going to get her a princess toddler bed for christmas. DId Jackson ever sleep in a crib? Missy is still in the room with us.

LOL yeah he was in a crib till I caught him trying to climb over the edge. He does very well in his big biy bed. MOST of the time he won't even get off of it when he wakes up. Jackson only slept with me for a few weeks. Jess
