Hi everyone!! Well I have a predicament. Noah won't sleep at night longer than an hour. Oh it's wearing us out. Then he's up for two eating or looking around and then wants bottle after bottle. Daddy and I had to go on a 2 hour on....2 hour off rotating schedule or else one of us was going to be up all night every night!! It's just so frustrating. This has been going on for 2-3 weeks now and he's only 6 weeks old!! I have 4 kids but none of my other ones did this. Well, at least one good thing we get out of the deal is lots of play time at night........ Allie

Allie, Wow that has to be hard. My kids were such good sleepers....I'm just waiting cuz I have this feeling that I won't get so lucky 3 times. Glad daddy is taking shifts so you can get some rest at least. I can't believe I only have about 11 weeks to go. It seems like Noah was just born. Anyway good luck on sleeping!!! Michelle

Hey Allie, I wonder why you where MIA. WOW poor Noah, poor mommy & daddy. That must be very hard. Lack of sleep is the worse. Aiden sleeps well now but I have this horrible fear once I start back to work he is going to start cutting teeth and not be able to sleep all night. I have a sells job so if I am tired and not in a good mood my sells will suck and then my managers are not too nice - to say the least. I pray that little Noah will start snoozing at night really soon. Angel & Aiden

Hey Allie, I'm so sorry Noah isn't letting you guys get any sleep at night. I think the only time Sarah was like that was when I was still breastfeeding her. Once I started bottle feeding (7 weeks) she started sleeping longer at night. She's been pretty much sleeping from 8:00 at night till 5:00 or 6:00 in the morning. Now with that being said, all that knocking on wood for Marsha so that Nate would keep sleeping through the night has back fired on me. Little Miss Sarah has been getting up at 2am for the last 2 nights. The only thing with her schedule that has changed is that daddy has been out of town since Tuesday (which is when she started waking up in the middle of the night). He is going to be home this evening so we'll see how things go tonight. Yes she is already a daddy's girl. Hang in there, things get better. Teresa

Kayden did that too.... I finally realized that at night time he needed to "cluster feed". I would give him a bottle at like 8 pm, and then even if he was a sleep I would wake him at 9:30 and give him another one. The first and second night I implemented cluster feeding he only woke up ONCE!!! The thrid night he slept all night long!!!!!!!!! Now occassionally he does wake up but most of the time he puts himself back to sleep....if he cries longer then 10 minutes I know he is genuinlly hungry and I will get him up and change his diaper and feed him. And then he's only up a total of 10 - 15 minutes. He goes right back to sleep. Now that I've gone and said all that he will never sleep thru the night again...LOL. Tammy

Hi Allie... I found my way over here too! Thanks for your repsonse the other day to my post on the post op preggo board. I forgot to email you back but thanks!!! I read every day but don't always get the chance to post/reply! BF IS SO HARD. That is all that I have to say. I think I remember that you had BF before but I can honestly say that if I have another one...I don't think that I will BF for more than a couple of weeks. I just didn't like it...never really had any milk. I wanted Anna to get the clostrum and she did. I BF for 8 weeks and finally after becoming the human pacifier...I had to stop. She would sleep at night for 3-4 hours at a time but in the evening I would have to do nothing but BF for 4-5 hours just to keep her calm. I do know that she was probably trying to increase my milk supply but I never really noticed a difference. I did love being close to her like that but 4-5 hours a night definately takes a lot out of a girl. I don't really have any advice for you. I only have 1 baby and you have 4 so I would call you the expert! I just wanted to tell you good luck. I hope he starts sleeping better for you!! Take care! Faye Mommy to Anna 21 weeks old!
