Hunter's 2 month check-up
Hello there!!!!!!
Today was Hunter's 2 month check-up and shots. He did amazingly well (it was 3 separate shots) for #1, but 2 & 3 he cried, then screamed. Poor guy! I made daddy stand there, and I sat down. (I was comforting Hunter during his circumcision)........ so...................... it was daddy's turn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is now 4 hours later, and Hunter is doing well, hanging out with mommie, and sucking his fist happily. ( I am thankful for that) I know I need to watch him closely. ----------------------------- -------------------------- His stats are very good!! When we left the hospital as a family, he was 5 pounds 7 ounces (bithweight was 6 pounds 2 ounces). He is now almost DOUBLE!!!! He was 10 pounds 12 ounces!! We are very pleased, and so was the doctor! ALL HEALTHY!!! YEA!!!!!
Today was a long day though.............. We started out at 2:30-3:00 and left the house to go look for a moose..... archery season is in a week. Hopefully we will be sucessful next week!!!!
I also had a job interview.....it went well, and I should know something this time next week!!
Take Care

Hey Jamie-
Good for you for giving daddy a turn at the ouchies. I made DH hold him down for the first set of shots because I couldn't even look! LOL Sounds like he's growing like a weed!
I was LOL about the moose... I'd pass out if I saw one walking down my street. I'm newly transplanted from NYC and I'm not used to wildlife strolling down the streets. I still stop and stare out the window in disbelief everytime I see a rabbit or a deer here. Last winter, a wild turkey woke me up...scared the bejeezus out of me. I had no idea what the heck that sound was and made DH go get his gun LOL!
Got my fingers crossed for you about the job!

Thanks for the support!!!! I hope something in the job market pans out!!! I wish we did not need 2 incomes to survive, but......... that is just the way it is here. Hunter has an excellent sitter (she is a stay at home mom who has one full-time child she watches, and 2 of her own, and she found out another on the way in February.) Hunter has been a champ holding his head up too, his neck is getting so much stronger.
As for wildlife...... well, sounds like your husband has it all handled with the gun, ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!
When Mark & I went down to California, I met his parents for the first time, and we all went deer hunting (his mom & I were just camping, the men were hunting). We were sitting there outside playing cards, and I looked up and saw a deer and I said "wow, look at the fawn!!!" and his mom said "no, that is a doe" well, since I am so used to the LARGE size of moose, it looked like a baby to me, I was like "oh" yup, embarassed!!! Everyone got a chuckle out of that!!!!
Have a GREAT day!
-Jamie
Sure... he has the fancy gun that he says is for "protection" but he wont even kill a spider. He tries to scoop it up and shoo it outside (big chicken! LOL He calls ME every time he sees a bug) Now that I know you're stocking your freezer, I'm DYING to know what moose tastes like! What does a moose recipe entail? LOL
Great that Hunter is holding his head up. Make sure he gets some tummy time every day and turn his head away from his favorite side so he doesn't get a flat spot. Danny has a small one but it drives me crazy because I know its there under the hair! Tummy time will really strengthen his neck.
Have a great weekend

Hey Jamie,
I'm glad to hear everything went well with Hunter's check-up. As first time moms I know how much it kills us to see our babies having to get poked with those needles. I know they need them but wish there was a better way of doing it. Sounds like he is really growing. Are you breastfeding or formula? I breastfeed Sarah for the first 6 weeks then started her on formula. I swear breastmilk is miracle grow.. LOL Sarah was 7lbs 1 oz when she was born and 6lbs 9oz when we brought her home. By her 2 week check-up she was up to 7lbs 3oz and by 2 months she was 12 pounds. Now at 4 months my little monster is 15lbs and 26" long. My DH is really good about going to all her appointments with us. At her first appointment she was 5 days old and got her first shot. I thought I was going to have to stop daddy from beating up the nurse who was giving her the shot. He actually got more emotional about it then I did but now I'm the basket case.
You are in my thoughts and prayers for your job. I know what you mean about needing 2 incomes. I would love to stay home with babygirl but right now it's just not possible. We have her at a really good daycare and love the girls that take care of her while she's there but it still sucks to have to drop her off every morning.
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of work are you looking for? The reason I ask is because my DH and I both work for Government contractors and the company he works for is based out of Alaska. They pay really good and have really good benifits.
Take care and hope you have a wonderful weekend!
