New to this board

Hey All, I've been a member of OH since 2002. I was hanging out on the VA board until last year when DH and I found out we were expecting our first baby. After I found out I started hanging out on the Post-Op Pregnancy board. Someone posted about this board so I decided to come on over and introduce myself. My name is Teresa. I had WLS Oct 3, 2003. I just had my baby girl March 22, 2006. She was 7lbs 1oz and 19". My DH and I call her out little miracle baby since neither one of us thought we would ever have kids (I'm 32 and he's 42). We got married last year on July 9th and ended up getting pregnant that weekend. I'll never forget the first thing hubby said when I told him I was pregnant and it happened the weekend we got married... his words were 'Damn, I'm good'.... LOL Our baby girls name is Sarah Elizabeth and she just turned 4 month old on July 22nd and is the most amazing and beautiful baby. I never thought I could love someone as much as I love her. I still sit and stare at her every day thanking God that she is mine. At her 4 month appointment she got 4 shots and did 10x better then mommy. By time I got her dressed and we were going up front to make her 6 month appointment she was smiling and laughing at daddy (he goes to all her appoinments with us). She is now 15lbs and 26". The nurse couldn't believe how long she was and had to measure a second time just to be sure... LOL I wouldn't be surprised is she ended up being taller then mommy. Teresa- Greetings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My name is Jamie, I had WLS February 2002 and abominoplasty April 2003. I live here in Alaska, but I flew down to Tacoma, Washington to have both of my surgeries. They were just getting started up here and I did NOT want to have a surgeon who had in my eyes not enough surgeries "under his belt". I wanted to go with a surgeon where I would feel comfortable. Anyways, I had Hunter Wayne on May 22,2006. He is my one & only. I am 34 and my DH is 38. Hunter is such a blessing to us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is such an AWSOME baby!! Take Care -Jamie K.

Hey Jamie, I don't blame you for going down to Washington for your surgery. Who wants to be the test patient? LOL I would love to have my TT before the end of the year but I don't think I'll be able to get my insurance to pay for it. If not then I'll just have to wait till we have the money to do it. I'm so jealous of my sister. She had WLS 3 weeks before I did and her insurance is paying up to $30,000 for any plastics that need to be done. She has already had the upper and lower TT done and getting ready to have her thighs done in a few months. She needed it a lot more then me though. She weighed 502 and lost 250 pounds so you can imagine the skin issues she was having. Hope your having a good day. Hugs Teresa
