GM Beth & PA:

I'm just getting up and sipping my protein shake.  I had to break down and call the doc yesterday for my back.  She perscribed Flexirol (sp) for me, knocked me right out.  I'm still foggy and drowsey.  I'm not fond of this type of medication.  I do not like anything that interferes with my brain and makes it feel foggy...never have never will.  As long as I'm safe in the house with Gene and our son-in-laws it's all good :-)

I'm glad to hear Deanna is feeling better!!!!  I used to get Bronchitis all the time when I as a little kid.

Enjoy support group!  I had considered coming today till I was put on drugs for my back.

Have a great time tonight!

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

GM PA!!

It is a BEAUTIFUL Saturday morning. The sun is shining and I am up, dressed and eating breakfast!! Deanna is FINALLY on the road to recovery. She went to school yesterday and had a good day. Poor kid, I know what bronchitis is and how horrible it can make you feel! I had it in college and almost was put in the hospital because of it.

Anyway, getting ready to go to Barix for support group. Looking forward to getting and giving support!!

After support group we are going to be getting together with friends. Deanna will be going to her Aunt's house for the night...

So what are you up to today??
Enjoy the beautiful weather!
Love, Beth

Dr. Colella has offices in Seven Fields and at St Margarets.   I saw him in Seven Fields and my next appointment will be at St Margarets.

Good Morning Trish, those to come. . .

I grew up walking distance from where the Mets (and years back, Jets) played. . .  the new stadium is nice, haven't been there since they brought in the outfield and love to go to see a game, Tony and I will go sometime later this year, I'm sure you will enjoy your game, though you are a Phillies fan (lol). . .

As for Utley and his walks, you might get him a portable doggie bowl and carry a bottle of water, that is what I do for Roxie, she is a big black dog, so they tend to get overheated in this weather and I don't take her out for walks when it is really hot and humid, just send her out back. . .  she is so silly, big and black and she will lay in the sun, like she is sunbathing. . .  but last week when it was really bad, she actually did not want to be outside, so I guess she's got some sense after all. . .

So this has been a week of good news stuff, first off, my daughter, who won The Daisy Award, which is a nursing award, was spotlighted http://daisyfoundation.org/daisy-award/daisy-nurses/Spotligh t/AngelaAdeli and then last night the news my son and all of us have been waiting on for the past year arrived. . .  he was named as a partner, which becomes effective on July 1.  I am absolutely the proud Momma, my three children are all successes in their own right, through hard work and determination and I look forward to watching them enjoy their lives through the measure of success they have managed thusfar and hope they truly have years of enjoyment.  I did nothing more than offer them, from my personal experience (or lack thereof), the perspective that their education would open doors for them and help them achieve and live out their dreams and pleaded with them to go forth and get it done while they were young and unencumbered, surprisingly, they listened (well two out of three did) and then I cheered them onward.  My older daughter, while not completing college, has done a remarkable job through determination and hard work and has won two years in a row the managerial award at the company she is at, so what she lacks in formal education, she makes up for in putting her best foot forward.  Thanks for letting me ramble about the joys of being a mother.

My day is going to be quick, work, meet with a friend after work, then off to celebrate my son's success having dinner at the place he chooses.

Wishing you all a wonderful day and weekend and hope to see some of you at Barix tomorrow.

Laureen

I am cold almost all the time! FL weather agrees with me but even there I get chilly at night or in too much AC.

 Good Morning PA,
I hope everyone is having a blessedly beautiful day.  I am.  I love these mild days, because my body rarely aches from the arthritis and other things.  I despise Winter because everything hurts.  During Spring and Summer, I rarely have the body aches.

Yesterday, I took Utley for a walk to the pharmacy a few blocks away.  I was able to tie him to a bench in front, and was only there for a couple of minutes.  I plan to take him back to pick up the prescription I dropped off.

Today, I must head to Giant to get a few groceries.  I have a freezer full of meat, so all I need are a few staple items and cleaning items.

My son, Chris, has wanted to take me to a Phillies game for Mothers Day, but our schedules have not made it possible to get there.  So, he is looking into taking me to Baltimore when the Phillies are there next weekend.  Chris lives in New York, so we sometimes go there.  He lives about ten minutes from Citi Field, where the Mets play.

Must scoot.

Hugs to all,
Trish
