Saturday roll call

GM PA!

Got a call from my oldest daugther yesterday, her fience's mom died yesterday morning.  She was not well, has been in a nursing home for about the last year.  Very sad.

Today i'm up and getting ready for my hair appt.  One of these days I'm going to do something different at least that is what I keep telling myself.

Last night when to the grocery story to get the fixings for sauce, meatballs, and lasagna.  They guys are working on the house today, need to feed them, then I'll send some of it home with them when they leave.  Way too much for Gene and I to eat on our own.  Cooking is an adventure in this house with everything still out in the shed.   I realized last night I didnt' have  a pot big enough to boil the lasagna noodles in, then remembered I have a large wok I used to use on the stove that never made it to the shed.  Used that to boil the water, it was a bit difficult to manuver to pour out, since I only have my very small strainer in the house.  I managed and was quite adventerous figuring out how to cook this stuff.  Very annoying though not to have what is needed in the house to make a simple meal.

HOpe you all have a wonderful day...

Ida

GM Ida and PA!!

Sorry to hear about your daughters' fiancees mom. Even when they are sick it is still hard to lose someone you love....

I hope that your house is finished soon so you can back to some sense of normalcy. I don't know how you do it with all your stuff packed away. I give you so much credit!!

Today I woke up @6am, don't know why? Eating breakfast right now. This afternoon we are meeting with my coworker and her kids to go to the playground and enjoy this nice weather. I guess we will be there for a couple of hours, then come home. Hubby is working OT this morning, then going for a ride on his bike. The rest of the day is up in the air. I do have some errands to run, laundry, financial stuff to do.

That is it for me!
Have a great Saturday.

Love to all, Beth

 Good Morning Ida and PA,
I am having a lazy morning here.  Moreso than usual, anyhow.  I have few plans today.  I need to do some tidying, and also need to get to an AA meeting this afternoon.

Have a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning to all my PA friends!  I think I'm going to be lonely today.  Kids are going out with their dad, and Bill has to go to work early tonight, which means he'll be trying to go to sleep around 11 or noons.  I should clean house.  Nah.  I am going to run to Neshaminy Mall to pick up my ring that was getting sized.  I might do some cooking.  I might just laze around and try to get rid of this cough.  Tonight, some of my OA friends are getting together for a girls' night.  I haven't had a girl's night since I can remember -- maybe when I was a teenager about 100 years ago.  I'm looking forward to it.  Of course, in my mind it's p.j.'s, painting each other's toenails and eating ice cream.  Probably not gonna happen.  LOL.

Blessings, Jill

Good morning everyone. We're hanging out in our hotel room watching the Whitney tributes on the news - checking out today and heading home.

We've had a fantastic weekend with our BFF's at Bally's in AC. They had never been to AC so it was a lot of fun for them. We walked the boards yesterday since it was so nice outside. Last night we saw a good show - Legends - had star impersonators and they were all very good - we saw Elvis, Ray Charles, Tina Turner, Liza and the Blues Brothers. Lots of great music and we were in the front row so we had great seats.

Not sure what the rest of the weekend will bring. Finally able to sleep in bed (loved this king bed at the hotel - it was soooo comfy) so I'll be back in bed. Still have 2 weeks off from work but shoulder is doing well and coming along.

Get out today and enjoy the lovely weather if you can. Kathy
