Anyone have Aetna HMO?

I was told Aentna always makes you do three months of nutrition counseling before surgery. My specifc plan pays up to 100% of bariatric surgery but I am wondering if they can still deny me even if I jump through all the hoops. I am just wary of hoping this will work out because I have struggled with my weight for so long. I have all my tests this week and my intial meetings with the nutritionist, pychiatrist and I think the surgeon. It's so overwhelming but I really am very excited.

The other question I have with Aetna is...If I have an appointment in Nov, dec, and Jan can I schedule the surgery in January or does it need to be three whole months?

Any thought will be appreciated.
