Thank you Ena;
I'm thinking about calling the SPCA and reporting that he broke into the house and the cat was hurt and see if they can do anything.
Thank you for the prayers they are greatly appreciated!

Good for you and Gene for filing the police report - that man has got to be made accountable for his actions - both against you and Gene, the house, and now the cat. I cannot get over the nerve of this guy!! But to hurt a poor,defenseless cat? OMG that is unbelievable. Thank goodness he wasn't hurt worse.

Sending you and Gene (and Hider) many prayers...someday this nightmare will end.

Hugs - Kathy

Ida,

  I am so very sorry for everything you are going through with this home project but to have hurt your cat is just horrid. I know you put in a police report but as this is getting worse can you maybe either get one of the news stations involved so the word gets out?

 If you need anything Den and I are here for you. I know you have crazy schedules but maybe we can do a dinner one night.

Ida I am so sad I am in tears.  I am sorry for all you are going through with the house. But now I am angry and hurt that someone would hurt your poor sweet kitty. I am seething I cannot even imagine how you feel about any of this. This is truly a nightmare. Have you contacted the media?

Nicole;
Thank you, I am in th eprocess of contacting the SPCA to see if we can file charges against him through them for hurting the cat.  No, we have to be careful what we do as far as media, we have to be very careful of the legalities.

Oh my gosh. Poor Hider. I am so sorry to here about this. It has gone from a bad situation to insane.

Somebody suggested calling a local news station, and I agree. You might not be able to prove the GC was the one who broke in and hurt Hider, but if you can get some attention thrown his way maybe you can make him step up and be accountable for the house.

I don't post much but please know that I have been thinking of you

I read your post, expecting to hear abou****er damage from all the rain the other day.  TOTALLy wasn't expecting this news!!!!  It's bad enough that someone broke in, but to hurt your kitty in the process???  The only reason I can think someone would hurt an animal during a break-in is out of anger or frustration.  You know, like "I'll teach you to treat me that way!"  I agree with trying to get the local news involved.  Seems to me they've covered stories like this before, so it wouldn't hurt to call them.  I would be a stark-raving biotch if someone hurt one of my cats (and I think Paul would be way worse than me!)  Do whatever it takes to get this guy!!!

Sending hugs to you, Gene and Hider!!!
