Tuesday Roll Call
I say you've got to be a good negotiator when it comes to this sort of stuff, otherwise contractors will drag things out, especially these days when business is not booming. However, things usually do take longer than they tell you, but it's almost 2 months behind and I know first hand what a pain that can be, I could not complain much when I was in it because I was getting a top notch job, for a fraction of the cost because of a good friend of mine, so my project took close to 15 months to complete the first part and an additional couple of weeks for the 2nd part.
So last night I was totally exhausted and wound up in bed at 8:30, woke up 4x to go potty, so annoying, I've timed things so as not to have any liquids after 6 p.m. and still I wake up so often during the night, aged plumbing I guess. . .
Well I got up at 4:40, petted and fed the Roxie girl, washed face, brushed teeth, packed food, got my gym clothes on and out the door by 5:10, worked up a good sweat for 45 minutes on the elliptical and then spent 9 minutes in the tanning booth, as I read an article that stated one way to get our vitamin D is through tanning, but of course it has to be within limits and since I already have a base tan, as well as the fact that I am of the olive complexion, I put on my googles and it felt good, especially because it has a fan blowing, so right after sweating, it is a nice cool down. . . anyway, showered and am here at work. Tonight I am babysitting my grandkids so my DIL and son can attend my DIL's uncle's wake, he died on Sunday from Lou Gehrig's disease, he was 61 years of age, so sad.
That's my story and it sounds pretty boring. . .
Wishing you all a good day and prayers for those with special life challenges, such as Nan, may you find the peace and strength to get through these really tough times.
Hugs, Laureen

I think we might actually have the same gym then, cause I don't know of anyone other than Planet Fitness that offers free tanning. . . and sure it would help with SAD, because you are using UV rays to combat the shorter days, but another benefit is the Vitamin D factor, so while I'm not a big believer in tanning beds, what I like is that it is a stand up one and I can now supplement my vitamin d which has been on the low normal side.
Another benefit of our gym memberships and a reason to get there, right? lol
Have a great day, L

yes, I hear you, I pay $19.99 at Planet, but that gets me in anywhere they are and since I joined the one near my job, in DE, I even save on the tax ;)

I am still slowly on the mend. I can move a little better and can get in & out of some chairs/furniture now. My strength is slowly coming back too. Ii started 2 days ago weaning myself off the pain meds...pain sucks, that is all there is to that, I can not wait until I am back to my old self (energy & personality that is).
Tonight is Caleb's board of review for Life Scout, that is one level below Eagle Scout. If he is awarded the achievement he would have climbed from new scout to Life in just 1.5 years. That is a great accomplishment for him. His Dad is taking him tonight since I still do not travel well. I can't wait to see the outcome.
As for me....another day of rest and recooperation.
That you all for all of your prayers and support...you are the BEST!!!

The Fairway in Jenkintown. I love the shop. The ladies that work there are top notch. They don't measure they look you over put you in a dressing room and the bras they bring in always fit perfectly. I won't go anywhere else for bras. They are a bit pricey but soo worth the money for good quality bras with a perfect fitting. When I walk out of there I dont' have to adjust anything everything comes home with me perfectly adjusted also.
