Roll Call for Tuesday
Another cloudy day but we are alive so it is a good day.
Last night I stopped at the market then made dinner did the dishes then sa****ching DWTS then had a debate with Dennis over Jimmies vs Sprinkles. There is a facebook post about it HAHA. It felt good to have that playful time with him last night. We had not been doing much of that as of late.
Today in work bored yet need to work on a few things in the personal relm but do have a big job to price out so that will keep me busy for a little but at least. Then tonight I forgot to take out something for dinner so a trip to teh market to grab something then curl up to watch American Idol and DWTS. I love my DVR!
Nicole glad you guys talked! Whenever Den & I struggle it is because we stopped talking.
Steffi will keep Zayda in my prayers. Let me know if you need anything or help with the kids. I am down the street.
Kathy be safe on your trip and prayers going out to your brother as well.
Life is good!

Morning Trish,
Glad to read your interview went well and whatever comes will be the right thing for you. I kind of agree with Beth, why not ask your daughter outright how she feels about the idea of you moving closer and being her grandma daycaretaker. . . from what you've shared, it seems as though you have a good relationship with her, though I do know, that sometimes the distance between us and our children serves a useful purpose (lol). . . anyway, it's just a thought and I do know that sometimes we are afraid to ask because we are afraid that we won't get the answer we desire and therefore it creates negative feelings from within us. . . just thinking out loud and expressing what goes on with me when I need to ask someone for something. . .
Hugs, L

Good Morning Pa and Trish,
Trish I will repeat what others have said, just come right out and talk to your daughter about being her day care provider. I know it is something I love, and although I told my daughter I would do it for two years when the littlest one come (which will be two years June 17th) it will be hard for me to give it up, and she has yet to make other arrangements. I am away this week and next, and I miss them already. The worst she can say is "no", give it a try as others have said, sometimes hints go over peoples head, and if you have nothing else to keep you hear, you can always start new somewhere else. I know changing doctors and meeting new friends is hard it is all worth it.
Today is going to be a somewhat easier day. We finally got one of the biggest trees cleared up, it took us 3 days, I have never seen so many branches, and we are lucky we can dump the remains in the woods or it would have cost a fortune to have it hauled away. I have two large tress totally down and will start on those by myself, just cutting the branches off, and dragging them away I am to lazy to deal with the chainsaw today. Run a few errands and then relax. That's about it for me.
Nicole glad things worked out for you. Lisa hope you are feeling better allergy wise, I also have the itchy eyes and such. Kathy I will keep you and your family in my prayers and hope all goes well for you brother, be safe driving. (and don't talk to any strangers lol). Steffi prayers heading to you and your family, hope Charlie is doing well, and yes it is wonderful when we can see the one we love in action and be proud of them even when there are times when they can get on our last one.
Liz glad you and Mia had a quiet nite, there is nothing wrong with holding the little one close, you were nervous, and she was near enough that had something happened you could just grab her and run. Gave your peace of mind to have her with you and there is nothing wrong with that either.
Hope you all have a great day, and stop to smell the flowers.
Hugs, Ena

Wow, a lot has been going on around here!
I left Saturday morning for Michigan - kind of a spur of the moment trip as I looked at the calendar for the weeks ahead. I just had a feeling it would be good to see my mom. (And of course, kids, and 3 of the grandchildren.) Weather was okay driving out, but very rainy coming back on Moday, so I stopped halfway and took an added day off work today. Gotta tell ya, the drive across PA gets VERY long between Someset and Carlisle....but I got home about 11:30 ish. I could probably have made it last night by driving till the wee hours but the storm warnings were pretty ominous and I was sick of following trucks through the rain.
Steffi, I read your post about Larry in uniform and thought of the time I spent with my son, who is a paramedic. He says that so much of the job is in comforting and calming people - and in giving attention to those who are largely ignored (like the elderly - he has a real soft place in his heart for them).
Lisa, I love the idea of letting Siehara help to refine/define the chore chart. It will certainly help her have more ownership of the whole project. I also like the suggesion (who made this one?) about giving her incentives. Also, I want to send you a link to a blog done by a Lanc. area friend who is a post op and couponer (her name is Melissa and she was here early in her journey but doesn't post here much any longer).
So many of you have so much going on....it's hard to catch up in just a post or two!

Good Morning Pennsylvania,I fell asleep before the end of the Phillies game....horrors!!! I did see most of it though. Allergies have me whacked out.
My interview went well. I do lack the case management experience they are looking for, but I have the willingness to work part time/per diem, and not insist on full time hours. She will let me know in about a week if I have the job. I am okay one way or the other. I am hopeful my daughter will ask me to move to Michigan to be her full time daycare, but I have dropped enough hints on that note.
Today has me tidying, and walking Utley. I also have an AA meeting to get to, and my baby blanket to complete, someday.
Hope everyone has a nice day.
Hugs,
Trish
I decided to take a mental health day! YEAH ME! I got an attendance thing too from work, but I haven't even taken 10 days, so blah!
I have been very busy today. Woke up at regular time, got Dee and I showered. We got dressed and off she went to school. I went to Quest to get bloodwork that TWO doctors want! BLECH! One is Dr. Marymor for my two year check up. Then I had errands to run, tried to get a mammogram and you need an appointment for that! THE NERVE!! So I called and made the appointment for later in June. WHATEVER!?!? Then went to the mall to find a new more sturdy phone case for my iphone. I didn't want to spend a fortune on it because I will hopefully get a iphone 4 as soon as the 5 comes out.Stopped at Five Below and found an acceptable case. Then came home and have been baking up a storm for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend festivities!! Let's see, I made peanut butter cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies and a chocolate cake which once it cools will be covered in chocolate ganache!! YUM!! I also have an appointment this afternoon with the hemotologist for my 3 month check up (another reason for the mental health day). Then maybe a little bit of time to myself before I have to pick up the child, do homework, dinner and relax!
WHEW! Just tired writing all this down!!
I am going to see about getting some Zumba in too!!!
Have a great day!
It feels like summer out there....
Love to all, Beth
