 Helloooo everyone..

Trish, I am having issues with my allergies.. ONE eye has been watering like crazy for 3 days.  I was concerned that it might be pink eye, but it seems to get better with allergy eye drops so I'll go with that.   Good luck on the job, as well.

Today has me working my last weird Back to Basics schedule.  It's the last day of Back to Basics and I am not really sure what I got out of it since my head has not been in the game.  I figure I will go back and look at the materials now that my head is starting to act right again.

After work is physical therapy for Siehara and then she has her counseling.  We did NOT start the chore chart yesterday.  I think it may have been a bit overwhelming for her and she kind of huffed and said FINE when she looked at it.  I was not convinced and suggested that we bring it to her counselor today to see what she thinks.  She liked that idea, so that is what we shall do.

Tonight, Siehara has a band concert.  She told me about it yesterday.. nice.  Guess there won't be time for the gym tonight .

At some point, probably in between counseling and the concert, I need to get to Aldi's to pick up a few necessities for the fridge.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Lisa,

Just a thought maybe if she had a part in making the list of chores and reprecussions she would be more receptive to the whole outline......

oh childless one.. you are quite wise.

You may be spot on.  I'll discuss it with her when she gets home and maybe we'll revamp it before counseling.

Great idea!

Sounds like a fairly stressful day for lots of folks out here today - Trish, good luck with the job - I hope it works. And I've wondered why you haven't packed up and moved out to be closer to your daughter and grands - I didn't know if anything particular was keeping you here? maybe you just need to come out and ask?

Ida, saw your BIG racoon on FB! Wow, no wonder it was making so much noise!! Glad you caught it.

Steffi - big HUGS honey - prayers coming your way for your family - hope all is well with Charlie. And good luck with the attendance thing - makes no sense to me when they give you days but then bang you for taking them? WTH?

Nicole, glad you're feeling a little better...Jason sounds like a pretty awesome guy.

Liz - I was watching TV and kept seeing the alerts for your area and thought about you guys - I don't blame you one bit for hanging on to that precious baby! With all the crazy weather lately you just never know what can happen.

Lisa - take care of that eye!

As for me I'm at work til noon today, then a co-worker and I are picking up a rental car and heading north to Fairfield, CT for a full-day training class tomorrow. Since neither of us have ever been up there we're leaving earlier than usual so we can take our time, plus the weather doesn't look the greatest later today. My boss is okay with all this. We'll be heading home tomorrow night.

My brother's colonscopy came out fine yesterday - today he is supposed to get news on the biopsy they took the other week, so I'm sort of out of sorts thinking about it, and knowing I'll be on the road when the news comes - good or bad. So I keep saying prayers that it's nothing too serious.

Oh - made my usual stop at Micky D's for my coffee this morning - only breakfast item they had was oatmeal, and I found out you can get it without the brown sugar, so it cuts the sugars in half and actually isn't too bad with the fresh fruit in it. I couldn't eat the whole container - oatmeal is pretty filling, but thought I'd pass that along.

OK - hugs everybody - but not too close - too stinking humid - LOL!!

Kathy -
I eat the McD's oatmeal once or twice a week. I actually had to start limiting myself, I was eating it too often. It's pretty yummy.

I also had to start limiting my SFVIC. The SF part of it gives me horrific gas. Like, HORRIFIC, ask my friends and family. So, I'm down to once or twice a week now. And I make sure it is a night I am just going home.

That sucks about the SFVIC giving you gas! I don't drink it EVERY day, but most days...I have had to tell them specifically ONLY 5 shots of syrup - some of them get carried away with the sf syrup and it ends up too sickening sweet to drink. I'm not a huge oatmeal fan but it wasn't too bad. Trying to mix up my menu a little bit - I tend to get in a rut with my eating.

I have had that side effect also Cherish. I have to be very careful of sugar alcohols in general. But I've been a little sneaky and discovered certain brands that aren't quite as deadly as others.

Good morning, Trish, and other PA buddies!  I hear you about the allergies.  I woke up really dizzy this morning and know it's sinus related.  So now I get to take antihistamines and be a zombie for the rest of the day.  woo hoo!

OA tonight.  I have a plan, just for today, that includes sobriety and sane eating.  I am really feeling blessed.

Blessings, Jill

Trish,

It sounds like you have a good relationship with your daughter so why not just come out and ask her about moving out to be with her and taking care of the kids. Sometimes "hints" go over peoples head and the best approach is to just ask.
