Day 18 of 90. May 18- baby making or exercising...you pick

A friend of mine at work said to me yesterday..."this is baby making weather" to which I responded "you got that right!"  All of this rain and wind just makes me want to stay home and either practice making babies or if that doesnt work out...exercise!!!!  So whats it gonna be PA, what are you going to do with your day/evening. 

last night I did p90 aerobics.  Funny thing happened about half way through the DVD.  I thought to myself that this DVD isnt enough of a workout.  What??!!??  How in the hell did that happen?  I was sweating, and my pulse was up, but I wasnt struggling to keep up.  I was actually a little bored with it all.  Talk about paradigm shifts?  I have a whole new outlook on this DVD and working out in general I guess.  I am no longer apprehensive or overwhelmed by the prospect of breathing hard and working my muscles.  I have really turned a corner with this.  VERY COOL!!!

I hope that this message reaches you and maybe inspires you or at least gets you to rethink your own possibilities.  i am no different from any of you.  I couldnt move without breathing hard and sweating or thinking my heart was going to explode if I tried to exercise.  i couldnt tie my shoes without strain and I couldnt make it up steps without losing my breath.  I was afraid to exercise.  Not any more.  It just takes time and effort.  Ease into it and you will improve!!!!!

I'm with you on the exercising.  No so much the baby making.  That factory was shut down 21 years ago!!

This morning I went to the gym.  Rode the stationary bike for 30 minutes.  7 miles in 30 minutes.  I hope that's good cause I was sweatin my ass off!!!  Also worked the upper body machines for 30 minutes and a good 15 minute stretch.

Can't wait to get back to walking outside again once this nastiness breaks.

LOL....well it IS baby making weather I guess! (Gotta be good for SOMETHING!)

Anyway, I spent an hour at the gym doing a water aerobics class this morning. This class is considered a pretty difficult class, but I am not challenged by it and came away a little bored. So I am debating going back for another exercise class later on - one that I know will kick me into overdrive.

Know what you mean about the paradigm shift. 2 years ago I couldn't do anything BUT an easier level water class. Now I am browsing all the class offerings to see what takes me to where I need to be.

I hit the gym this morning.  Today was a struggle for me but I managed.  30 minutes cardio and then arms and ab machines.

104 lbs lost now Maintenance BABY!!!!

Hey Howdy Swede et al...

I'm feeling great today. Ran 5k in 40 minutes this morning. Realistically, that's where I suspect my time will stay for a while. The time-cutting is going to come slower now. I suspect I'll be hitting 40-44 minutes for the next few weeks at least.

No lifting today. It's my break day.

I have no doubt I'll be ready for Warrior Dash on June 11. I won't win, but I won't come in last either!

Well this header certainly beats 'Tuna Tuesday' or whatever that was yesterday - it definitely got me excited about this thread!! Baby-making?  Honey, I'm into grandchildren of my own and GREAT-grandchildren on the hub's side, so we won't be making any babies but now it's more fun because we KNOW we can't make any!! All the action, none of the grief - there are some advantages to getting older.

Well I know I'll be walking tonight with the dog - that's a given - going to try for more time on the bike tonight - had a good sweat going and was cranking right along last night then my younger sister called and since we don't talk often enough I slowed down and cooled off and gabbed with her for about an hour - if talking counted as exercise I'd have it made! but right now we're all stressing over my brother and what's going on with him, so until we know we're in touch with each other more right now.

All that being said I will be biking again tonight - doing some leg exercises. And I am happy to report that hubby is also riding the bike while I walk the dog and is up to 10 minutes - not too shabby for the old guy!!
