Sunday Roll Call
Good morning all - glad utley is walking good for you Trish - dogs are very instinctive when it comes to knowing if you're not feeling well or are in pain.
We have a houseful of little girls this morning and they're so cute - my nephews girlfriend has 4 girls - the oldest one went to a sleepover at a friends house but the 3 younger ones stayed here. I ran out to Micky d's earlier and brought breakfast home. The dog is loving having playmates around!
Today is just laundry for me since I cleaned yesterday for company. Made a huge batch of meatballs yesterday so today I'll just make some dreamfields pasta to go with it.
Enjoy the day - Kathy

Hello PA!
Trish, I know what you mean about Utley. When my dog isn't being a total goofball, I miss it! Most recently, she had a cone on due to eye surgery. That is healed now, but over those few weeks, she wouldn't fit in her crate when we left the house....so she was trusted to be out. And she discovered that she could get up on our bed (which she would NEVER do when we are at home). We put a sheet over the bedspread, but she would wiggle around until she got our pillows out and made little "nests" for herself.
Cute? yes, but I don't want to live with a "dog sheet" on my bed. So today when we left for church, she was back to the crate.
This afternoon Mike and I are going to touch base with some friends from church, then have a little down time (I hope!) That's about it for the day for us. We have a frig full of leftovers right now so I don't even need to cook.

Utley likes to help me when I make the bed. He will jump up on the bedding as I am trying to put it in place, and I have to pull the sheet or blanket with him on it. Then, I throw the comforter on him and make the bed with him in the bedding. He just lays there, and snuggles in. Drives him and me nuts, but it is our little ritual.
Last Sunday, I cooked two casseroles to eat out of during my post-op period. All I had to do was put a scoop of it in a bowl and nuke it for a minute or so, and refill my iced tea and hobble back to bed. It was faster than the frozen dinners, like Lean Cuisines. Got me through the worst of the post-op period when I was in the worst pain and could not stand to be out of bed for very long. Thank God for microwave ovens.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
